There’s No Love In the Deathzone (BL)

Zein was a rogue Guide living in the god-forsaken land of the red-zone, guiding for money and survival. Until the guild he used to work with caused a tragedy. Driven by sorrow and guilt, Zein became a mercenary guide in the land bordering the forbidden Deathzone, working like a suicidal monk. One day, an overbearing Esper suddenly appeared and told him, “If you’re so hellbent to die, why don’t you come with me to the Deathzone?” A strange proposition, a nostalgic smirk. Had Zein actually met him before? Following the man into the deadly zone, will Zein find the respite he seeks, or will he get engulfed in a storm? But there’s no such thing as love in the deathzone...is it? * * * The story is set in a sentinel-verse, so there will be: - Sentinel (Esper) and Guide - Dungeon! - Romance - Action - …smut? ;) It’s a (kinda) love story wrapped in dungeon system shenanigans, with abilities and action and whatnot

Side Story 2. Dance of Flame and Shadow - 22

Agni woke up with a start, feeling his heart beating fast for a few seconds before finally blinking. When his eyes registered the brown hair strewn across his stretched-out arm, he let out a relieved sigh.

The brown hair wasn't as long and messy as in his dream, getting matured with the owner's age. But it was still fluffy and felt nice every time Agni buried his face there. Sadly, he couldn't call the younger man 'squirrel' anymore--a banned word aside from 'kid'.

Oh, well--a smile price for getting him back. Agni smiled in satisfaction and pulled the sleeping man closer to him, ruffling the short brown hair. A lot of time had passed, and that young, delicate face had turned sharper, rougher, with several scars that would be visible under the sun. Those once sparkling eyes had turned deeper and number, and yet...they still warmed him like nothing could.

"Hmm..." Agni smiled wider and leaned down to kiss the scout's eyelids.
