I get to the gate and everything happens all at once. My heart is racing because I know what I want to do but I also know that I have to be reasonable--at least until my wolf comes out. That will be the moment when I will lose all sense of rationale. My hands are squeezed into fists as I try to control my breathing. Colin is next to me and just having him so close to me gives me a sense of relief and panic.
"Hey, it is going to be okay. We got this," Colin tells me.
He is trying to give me some assurance but I don't even know what the plan is.
He doesn't seem to think that it is a good idea to go out even though he knows that his cousin is out there.
