Lowell
I have been standing outside the room for a couple of minutes now and I am scared to knock. I don't know if things are the same or if there are changes in him. He might have never really been himself.
That is just your mind messing with you.
My wolf tells me calmly. He is not worried about anything, and that scares me the most. I gave Col the night to get himself together, but all I wanted to do was see him, hold him, and know that he was okay.
Is he okay?
I raise my hand in the direction of the door to knock, but it opens before I can and Beau walks out of it. His eyes open wide as he takes in my presence, and then his gaze flicks over to the bed where Col is seated on the bed. He looks confused for a moment, as though he isn't sure if he is awake or not, and then he blinks a couple of times, and the confusion disappears from his face. He sits up, rubbing his eyes, and says, "Lowell? Is that you?" he asks, immediately jumping from the bed.
