My phone rings and everyone turns to me quietly. I see Lo's face on the screen and a smile creeps up on my face.

"That can't be dad, or else he would have been shitting his pants right about now,'' Colm points out.

I ignore them as I answer the call.

"Baby,'' Tala giggles at my endearment and I glare at her for her interruption. There is silence on the other end of the call. The kind of silence that shouldn't terrify me but just knowing that he is on the other side of that phone is reassuring. In a couple of hours, I will be with him.

"I miss you,'' he breathes into my ear and it makes my heart flutter. I can feel the warmth from his voice and my wolf stirs. It is a feeling that is foreign to me but something that is starting to grow on me. I would do anything to have him here with me but I know that this is something that I have to do.
