The Calm Before The Storm- A Hot Summer Night

Dusk had finally fallen. Some peace and quiet at last.

After Hina's return home, the estate had been swelling with concerns at her awfully drenching appearance. The lady had returned from the palace shivering in wet clothes and it was enough to garner everyone's attention and concern as the head maid and Tanaka flooded her with questions as to what happened. Her maids had hurriedly prepared a hot bath for her upon hearing the summarised version of the incident from Kai. Warm lemon tea and porridge had also been served to her in bed while Kai had sent for a doctor to come over. Doctor Anzu had prescribed some medication for cold just in case and her swollen ankle had also been treated and wrapped up. She was as good as brand new. Yet the bunch had remained in her room for hours to watch after her.

"I don't like you going to the palace" Tanaka had complained with a worried tone as she peered at Hina's painfully swollen ankle.
