"Is there anything specific you wish to impart upon me, Lady Evangeline?" Seraphina inquired humbly.

"Indeed, there is," Lady Evangeline replied. "Your unique constitution, the Seven Emotions Constitution, is capable of absorbing and channeling emotions. This gift will grant you a deep understanding of the human heart and its connection to the Dao. Embrace the emotions you encounter in your journey, for they hold profound insights and power. I had once carried a similar gift, but yours is much more dominant."

Seraphina nodded, absorbing Lady Evangeline's words with reverence. "I will keep that in mind. Emotions have always been a complex aspect of my cultivation, and I shall learn to embrace them fully."

"Good," Lady Evangeline said.

Lady Evangeline's spirit gazed at Seraphina with pride and affection. She had been plagued by her spirit dissipation before finding an heir, but now, these worries were gone. Now, she can be freed from this burden and search for her next great adventure.

"My time in this world has passed, but my spirit remains intertwined with the Coven and its cultivators."

Seraphina reached out, and as she held the seal in her hand, a surge of energy coursed through her body. She felt Lady Evangeline's spirit merging with her own, their essences becoming intertwined.

An amethyst-colored lycoris flower symbol was engraved onto her forehead. This was the symbol of completion.

Those were the main techniques Seraphina has gained from Lady Evangeline's repertoire of spells. The first seal can manipulate the emotions of her opponents. She could incite fear, rage, or sorrow, disrupting their concentration and rendering them vulnerable to her attacks. The second seal enabled Seraphina to unify the emotions within her and convert them into pure Qi. The resulting power could enhance her other sealing techniques and amplify her abilities in combat. The duration and effectiveness would depend on the level difference between her and the opponent.

She felt a powerful force surging through, and her body felt much lighter. Seraphina swore she could now punch a rock as big as herself into smithereens with just her physical power.

With her newfound power and knowledge, Seraphina emerged from the cavern, her heart filled with determination and purpose. These ancient seals were made for her to use as she and Lady Evangeline shared a similar constitution.

She plans to use this power and speed up her cultivation to not fall behind when the catastrophe breaks out. It will happen in a few years, but the average cultivator can only improve so much in a few years. Therefore, she needs to fully utilize every possible path to speed up.

She bathed in a nearby pond and set her cultivation to stage six for others to see. These gifted clothes were very convenient in her opinion, and she would fully abuse them at every turn.

[A few hours later]

As she returned to the Rosevine Coven, Seraphina found herself transformed. Her comrades noticed the radiant amethyst lycoris flower symbol on her forehead, recognizing it as a sign of her connection to Lady Evangeline's inheritance.

Elder Nyra greeted her with a knowing smile after sensing the improvement in Seraphina. "I can see that you have experienced something extraordinary," she said, her voice gentle and approving.

"Yes, Elder," Seraphina replied.

"I have stumbled upon a Qi Essence Fruit inside the forest and refined it. Then, I used the residual energy to boost my cultivation to stage six. Since I was already nearing a breakthrough, I was able to make it to stage six."

Seraphina lied with a straight face she had acquired in her past life dealing with noble families. She had read about this fruit before and knew this result was plausible. There was no need to reveal her inheritance to the people here and get it out into the world. She wanted to keep her trump cards as close to herself as possible.

"I see, a fortunate encounter indeed. But do not be too hasty, as that would cripple your foundation. Do not visit the forest for a few days, and I will oversee you stabilize your new realm." Elder Nyra said and walked away after checking there was no problem with the sudden breakthrough.

Seraphina was left standing there and thinking about how to utilize her unique constitution. Since it was about absorbing any emotions she could try to do a few experiments. Do all emotions absorbed produce the same amount of Qi Essence? What emotions do most people show that can be amplified by her?

Seraphina decided to do a few experiments. She already had a few candidates in mind. For now, she made a list of absorbable emotions. They are fear, contempt, anger, happiness, sadness, surprise and hate.

She concluded that fear, anger, contempt, and hate are very sustainable by influencing certain young masters. There was no need to do it herself since she could absorb strong emotions around her and not caused by her. She'll throw some coal into the fire that the MC has started. But that needed to wait until the Grand Sect Tournament.

Happiness and surprise can be absorbed from allies and friends. At last, there was sadness. She decided to visit the slums in villages around the Coven to test that out.
