13 Making Plans

Seraphina did not venture outside since Elder Nyra wanted to check on her to stabilize her new realm. Additionally, she wanted to check out the two ancient seal formations she had gained from the inheritance. Lady Evangeline constructed those seals during her peak. These were to function alongside her constitution.

Cultivation constitutions. There were many scattered around Aetheria.

Some are basic and do not provide much except the talent to harness Qi and empower themselves. Others are more complex and can provide Poison Immunity or Enhanced Comprehension.

Kael Vesta possessed the Ethereal Temptation Consitution. He was able to improve his cultivation by essentially sleeping with women. After all, the novel was called Heavenly Dragon's Dual Cultivation. No surprise there.

But this is similar to what Seraphina could do, though much more distasteful in her opinion. She had read the novel in her first life and fantasized about having a large harem too. But now, in the shoes of a woman, she just found the idea revolting. A flame was lit inside her mind as she remembered a certain pitiful dragon girl used by the MC and cast away after he got to a higher stage, and the novel moved on. She remembered liking that dragon girl's personality and how sad she was after the author decided to forget about her.

In the original timeline, a dragon girl named Cassandra lived a life shrouded in tragedy and heartbreak. Born with striking silver hair and mesmerizing red eyes, she possessed the rare and powerful Dragon's Bloodline, a lineage coveted by many cultivators for its immense potential.

In her youth, Cassandra's family lived in a peaceful village on the outskirts of Aetheria. However, their idyllic life was shattered by a group of rogue cultivators when they attacked their village in search of her bloodline. The ruthless rogues believed that extracting her unique abilities would give them unparalleled strength.

Cassandra's parents fought valiantly to protect her but were no match for the ruthless attackers. Witnessing the brutal slaughter of her family left an indelible scar on Cassandra's young heart. She managed to escape, but her innocence was forever lost.

Alone and frightened, Cassandra wandered the lands, seeking refuge and safety. However, her dragon heritage made her an outcast among humans, and many cultivators saw her as a threat to their ambitions. The fear and prejudice she encountered deepened her loneliness and despair.

In a stroke of fate, Cassandra crossed paths with Kael Vesta, the charismatic and powerful protagonist of the "Heavenly Dragon's Dual Cultivation" novel. At first, she saw a glimmer of hope in him, someone who might understand her pain and offer her the solace she desperately craved.

Kael appeared compassionate and caring, offering her sanctuary and protection from the cruel world. But unbeknownst to Cassandra, Kael's intentions were far from genuine. He, too, sought to exploit her Dragon's Bloodline for his gain, viewing her as a means to advance his cultivation to new heights.

As Cassandra began to open her heart to Kael, trusting him with her deepest fears and vulnerabilities, he skillfully manipulated her emotions, using her trust and affection against her. The more she grew emotionally attached to him, the more he drained her dragon powers, leaving her weakened and vulnerable.

Over time, Cassandra's hope for a better life was replaced with despair again. She became nothing more than a tool in Kael's relentless pursuit of power. He discarded her feelings and well-being, viewing her only as a means to satisfy his ambitions.

When Kael reached the pinnacle of his cultivation, he callously cast Cassandra aside for other women, leaving her broken and forsaken once more. Abandoned and shattered by the one person she had dared to trust, Cassandra sank into deep despair, feeling utterly worthless and unlovable.

"Since the current plot was around the Grand Sect Tournament, Kael must still be on an island fucking his childhood sweetheart for power. It was possible to save that little dragon girl from a fate worse than death."

Seraphina thought, her black hair cascading over her shoulders as her amethyst-colored eyes stared up at the night sky from the Coven's training grounds.

"But that happens after the Grand Sect Tournament. She has about a year to prepare before Kael 'stumbles' upon her."

For now, she needed to get to the Core Creation Stage to be able to attend the Tournament. Seraphina also wanted to experiment a bit with her emotional absorption. She is an accepted disciple of a mentor and needs to achieve the Core Creation Stage to become a core disciple. Being a core disciple will give her more privileges and access to outside missions.

There was also a dispute over a resource between the Mystic Oak Brotherhood and the Thunderbolt Knights.

Sadly, she can't make any plans to steal since she cannot leave beyond the forest yet.

But with her newfound power and the two ancient seals, Seraphina was determined to make the most of her time in the Rosevine Coven. While Elder Nyra oversaw her cultivation to stabilize the newly achieved Elemental Attainment Stage 6, Seraphina continued her studies of the ancient seals left by Lady Evangeline. She practiced diligently, honing her skills in manipulating emotions and channeling them into powerful Qi. Her real power was hidden, so she needed to pretend to stabilize her realm at stage six.

As Seraphina trained, she also sought to experiment with her emotional absorption ability. In the secluded areas of the Coven's forest, she felt the emotions of various creatures and even fellow disciples. She discovered that her constitution allowed her to absorb emotions more efficiently during moments of heightened intensity, such as fear during a dangerous encounter or joy during a moment of celebration.

To her surprise, Seraphina realized that not only could she absorb and convert negative emotions, such as fear and anger, into empowering Qi, but she could also enhance positive emotions like happiness and determination. This newfound understanding of her constitution opened up a world of possibilities, as she could utilize emotions as a source of strength and inspiration. It was possible to increase the morale of an army on a battlefield. She made plans to visit her fellow examinees and see if the feelings they emit are stronger.

As of now, she wasn't in a hurry to get out and test out other emotions since she wanted to properly understand the ones she could make use of inside the Coven.
