Chapter 67 - Punishment

"Arabelle, you know, I also had a really weird dream". He said and the little lady in his arms looked up at him.

Seeing Lucas' focused look, she thought that he was just trying to help to calm down, but his next words left her open mouth.

"But in my dream, we separated, and you remarried too," he said in an even voice, making sure to observe her reaction. He saw a flash of guilt cross her eyes and he got his answer. They had the same dream, but it seemed like there was something more for her. She seemed too emotionally invested in the dream, or was it because she was a woman and was more compassionate?

Lara instinctively stiffed and quickly hid the guilt that she felt. Was Lucas also reborn? What was fate playing at?

"Tell me Arabelle, did your dream also contain that?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at her and a possessive aura shrouded his being.

Lara, seeing his look, wanted to say no, but somehow she couldn't lie and nodded in agreement.
