The Villain’s Repentance

Lara was at rock bottom, feeling like a puppet whose strings had been cut. When she stumbled upon her husband and best friend in a compromising embrace, everything fell into place. The heartbreak stung, but it also ignited a fierce determination within her. Instead of wallowing in despair, fate intervened, giving her a second chance at life—waking her up ten years earlier, just before the chaos began. Armed with wisdom, she promised herself not to repeat the same mistakes. As she stood at the top of the stairs, her gaze fell on Lucas, her once-beloved fiancée. Regret washed over her; she couldn't believe she had almost let him slip away. This time, things would be different.

Chapter 47 - I'll never force you

"What.what…are you doing?" Lara asked, sounding a bit panicked.

Lucas put both hands on either side of her head and stared deep into her eyes.

"Tell me, what do you think I'm up to?" he asked, peppering her lips with kisses.

"Lue, I need to go see my sister, she's in the hospital" she stated, in a fruitless attempt to get away.

"Hospital hours are from 9am, it's 7am right now" he whispered in her ears, biting them after. He felt her stiffen below him, then quickly looked at her face and saw a trace of fear or was it panic. He got off her and she quickly ran to the bathroom, he looked at her retreating back and a weird feeling grew in his chest.

Lara leaned on the bathroom door as she calmed her furiously beating heart, unlike before, hit was now beating as a result of….fear.

Did she fear Lucas ? …No

Was she against getting intimate with him? ...No.
