Even with so many people dying, Jason and his remaining men keep running.

They were hoping to make it out of the forest and towards the city where there are more people and the army that was stationed near the city after the mutated monsters started appearing.

After Jason got out of the forest, he stopped hearing as much noise behind him and as he looked back, he saw that the deers had stopped at the edge of the forest.

"Keep running!" Jason yelled.

Jason could tell that the mutated deers were a lot more intelligent compared to the normal deers so while they had stopped chasing them, it might just be a ploy to make them relax their guard.

After all, there was no reason for the deers to stop at the edge of the forest, so it was strange for them to do so for no reason.

As Jason and his men get into the city where there are people, they look very out of place with all of them sweating so hard and some of them carrying guns.

People got scared and slowly backed away hoping that Jason and his men didn't do anything to them but Jason didn't care about any of them at the moment.

He quickly called one of his people and ordered him to bring some of the best people from the surrounding cities and the best weapons that they had close by to the base in the city.

The mutated animals had just begun to show up but they were already so powerful, what would happen to humans after a little bit more time passed?

He wasn't so much worried for the human race but rather for himself and his men and in order to go up against those animals, he would have a little to no choice but to trust the system that suddenly came to him.
