"Oh! You still remember my name! I'm so honored," Isabelle said cheerfully.
"Yes," Isla said curtly. "Thank you for finding the kittens and bringing them back to me. I'll tell someone to prepare a reward for you. Good day."
Isla turned away, not having the energy or intention to prolong their conversation. Not only because she felt it wasn't necessary but also because Ava used to avoid this woman because of their family's history and because Isla didn't want Sebastian to find out that she had the blood of Cassia in her veins.
"Thank--- wait, Your Majesty," Isabelle hastily called. "There's something I need to talk to you."
Isla stopped. She turned to the woman and waited for her to speak.
"That woman... she finally died," Isabelle showed her a soft but cold smile. "I bet you're relieved now that your doppelganger is gone. Weren't they used to say... that two people with the same appearance shouldn't ever meet?"
