"There's no need for that," God said as she took a few steps forward.
The disappearance of the Immemorial Tree created a large clearing at the center of the island,w which further attracted the attention of every spirit within Eternium.
There were a lot of questions that spirits need to ask but no one bothers to think about them.
Why were they here? Why were they created? Who named this place? Why are there realms? Those questions would never be answered unless one strived to search for them.
God picked the seed from the center of the clearing, which caused another frenzied reaction from the neighboring spirits.
General Satan didn't know what her actions entailed but still remained confident as he stood guard behind her.
"Can we go now?" the fairy spirit uttered as she glided towards God's shoulders.
General Satan appeared anxious and wanted to say something but stopped upon receiving a reprimanding glance from God.
"Yeah, we can go now."
General Satan relaxed after hearing the words itself directly from her. That meant it was final and nothing could change her mind.
God raised her right arm and from her fingers. countless thin threads of light flowered into multi-branching threads. It divided itself into tens, hundreds, and thousands in a few blinks of the eye.
The thread of lights attached to every Spirit Army that belonged to God. After the last thread attached itself to its designated target, a powerful space vortex appeared and before anyone could realize what happened, the whole army was gone.
All of a sudden, the island became empty, followed by soft rumbling sounds. The Spirit Lords only woke up from their stupor after realizing that the island was flying apart. Each piece of land flying in a different direction with no real destination.
When one Spirit Lord started raging, countless Spirit Lords were affected and started to wreak havoc on their own.
The legendary disappeared and yet the various spirits continued with their never-ending fights of absorption.
In the distance, a wormhole appeared and an extremely dark figure appeared. It was a spirit with an actual physical body. Its life experiences can be shown by the physical form it favors and must have traveled to a faraway place where aesthetics was greatly appreciated.
The newcomer appeared exactly like God's soldiers. A masculine jawline, short black hair, and a bulky body.
It anxiously glided towards Eternium upon noticing that the floating island was slowly crumbling. As it got closer, the inkling of suspicion deep inside him was finally proven.
The giant tree was gone, nowhere to be seen. Searching briefly, it found a piece of land filled with its aura. It flew excited only to find out that the place was only a wide clearing.
Since the newcomer stood at such a conspicuous spot, numerous powerful spirits noticed his actions. Some ill-minded Spirit Lords felt like venting out their frustration and ordered their army to crush him.
"I am Fear!"
The being bellowed with spiritual energy added. The sound echoed in the Eternal Realm and reverberated across the material planes nearby.
It was the rumbling of thunder before lightning strikes!
A shockwave passed through everyone and all the spirits in the Eternal Realm were affected. The nearest ones moved erratically in their spot while the weaker ones instantaneously returned to Eternal Slumber.
Seeing that they were struck, every spirit simultaneously poured all their spiritual energy to attack the newcomer. Attacks like these were considered suicidal attacks. Long-range attacks send energy out but nothing goes back in. Everyone is just losing spiritual energy and no one gains anything!
Still, the countless spirits were agitated. Every Spirit Lord was able to think, and each of their subordinates was awakened through sacrificing a small part of them. The small portion of the Spirit Lord's spirit also contains the ability to think.
And anyone that can think has natural fear instilled inside them.
"I have something now. It's called a name. I came back to tell you that, but I guess, it's already too late."
"I'm sorry for not coming back much earlier. I... I wanted a body so that I could show you that I improved, but you're not here anymore."
Fear, the low-rank spirit that visited the Immemorial Tree countless space years ago has finally returned. After becoming a High-grade Spirit Lord, it went into a long journey to think.
In its journey, it finally gained a name for itself. Fear could have gotten back much earlier if he didn't have to search for the knowledge on how to obtain a physical body.
"I am Fear, and I thank you for the opportunity you gave me."
Fear stood at the center of the clearing. He poured his heart out as countless spiritual beams struck him.
The spiritual barrage hailed a dust cloud that enveloped the area. The attacks only stopped after several spirits felt danger due to severe depletion of spiritual energy.
When the dust cloud settled, Fear stood upright with no damage to his physical body. On his hand was a patch of land with a distinct aura different from the familiar tree. The aura was filled with warmth and positive energy.
He turned his head in a certain direction and stretched his spiritual sense as far as possible, searching numerous planes and realms along the way. Still, he didn't find the one that he was looking for.
"I am Fear." he softly muttered, then another barrage struck him but much weaker than the previous attacks.
Frustrated, mad, angry.
He bellowed filled with wrath.
"I! AM! FEAR!"
Another spiritual shockwave exploded with him as the center. This time, he wasn't so kind as to do a weak pulse but produced a powerful wave that immediately killed any low-rank spirit in the area.
"Kueek—"
Spirits arched their backs if they had one, and countless weak spirits returned to Eternal Slumber. The proud Spirit Lords turned tail and ran away not even glancing back to see how their armies were coping up with the spiritual shockwave.
"I am Fear, Fear is my name."
"I am Fear, Fear is my name..."
Fear repeated to not forget. He glided towards the general direction where he felt the strange aura went and refrained from jumping through space, so he won't miss them.
