We headed back to the camp. Nick has already set up a fire and looks like Emma and Sakura had also fetched some drinking water from the river.

"Looks like you guys have completed your hunt." Nick walks to me and as he sees the wild boar, he clearly got startled.

"You guys killed this RANK D wild boar all by yourself?"

Amber was standing behind, she walks in front and stand next to Nick.

"Nick, it looks like they are quite strong. Don't they?" Amber put his hand on Nick's shoulder while talking. It almost looks like they are together or maybe I'm thinking too much.

"Anyway, let's get something to eat, we are all traveling since morning. We all are hungry." Nick brought a lot of fish and shows it to me.

"look we also caught some fish. How about we share our foods?".

Fish? Maybe it's not a bad idea to share our food with each other. But did this guy really catch these fish all by himself? There is quite a lot of fish.

Everyone sits next to each other in front of the fire as we cook the boar meat and fish.

Once we cooked our meat. We all share our food we each other and ate together while having a few chats.

"Hey Nick, where is the Merchant? Won't he eat with us right now?"

Nick quickly completes his part of boar meat. He really ate way too fast.

"Let's keep on night watch after one another. Alvin how about you keep on watch after me?"

Right the night watch. Keeping watch after one another might be a good idea, we all can rest a bit in this way.

Sakura is sitting next to me and pulls my jacket, looks like she wants to say something.

Once everyone has done eating. We entered our respective carriage for the night.

Time to relax a bit after a long day. I haven't slept last night so maybe I should sleep now but the problem is even today I can't really sleep here inside this carriage. No matter How many times I try I can't fall asleep,

In about a few minutes girls fall asleep, next to me Cho – Hee sleeping and in front of us, Emma and Sakura are sleeping. Honestly, It really looks like they are both sisters just by seeing how Sakura sleeping on Emma's shoulder.

looks at them, sleeping without a problem. What to do? I want to relax also but… I shouldn't disturb them, maybe I will keep the night watch with Nick.

I climbed out of the carriage and saw Nick sitting next to the fire.

"What are you thinking so deeply? Something on our mind?" I walked up to him and sits facing him as we both looks at the fire.

"Alvin, you are awake? I think your turn is after me. You should take a rest right now."

Yeah, I should be resting now but it's not my fault that I can't sleep. Anyway…

"Well, Let's say I'm not that tired. How about I keep you company?"

"If you say so. Alvin, you are quite weird, do you know that?"

"Weird?" that's the first thing you wanted to say?

Nick looks at me while keeping his head weighing on his hand.

"Don't you know? You are quite different from other beginner adventures."

"What do you mean different exactly?". Have I done something weird subconsciously that he thinks of me like that?

"You are a Rank F adventurer but you don't show any signs of a beginner. Maybe your level is high. If you don't mind, can you tell me your level? "

Is he still stuck on the fact I and Cho – Hee was able to kill a Rank D big wild boar? I can't tell him that I am at Level 100. Let's just lower it down.

"I am at level 30."

"Level 30? Wait, did you say level 30 just now? That means you have the potential to be at Rank B adventurer no maybe even rank A."

Shit, Should I have lowered my level a bit more?

So wait, a Level 30 are average among Rank B adventurers? It's that too low even for a Rank C. Just how low are the levels of this world's people?

It almost feels like the system has been ---

"Alvin, you okay? What are you thinking?"

I zoned out…

"Nick, how about your level? You are a Rank D adventurer."

Nick hesitated a bit then said awkwardly, "I am at Level 20."

Wait if Level 30 can be considered to have Rank B, then isn't he also good. "Nick, Isn't that pretty high too?"

"Well, everyone does say that I have the potential to be in Rank C, and if I try hard, I can also easily be at Rank B adventurer."

I know once your level increases then that person required more exp than before to level up again or at least that's how a normal RPG game work.

I looked at Nick as he is looking down. Maybe I should not talk about it anymore. Nick doesn't look too comfortable talking on this topic.

After a while of awkward silence, Nick stands up and headed to his carriage.

"Alvin, if you don't mind can you keep the night watch. I guess I'm tired a bit, maybe I should take some rest."

Wth, he left just like that? Did something happen last year when he tried to level up?

Never mind, Anyway Looks like I will be doing overtime. Well, it's not like I am sleepy, and sitting all alone in front of this campfire is not that bad.

Coming to another world, going on an adventure on very next day. It's been only two days and here trying to get used to the situation.

After a few hours, Ryan came out of his carriage,

"It's my turn for the night watch. Hope I am not too late!", Ryan walks to me while keeping his hand on his waist.

Should I ask him about Nick? Sighs… let's mind our own business.

I should just get inside my carriage, for now, Let's try to sleep once again.

"What unable to sleep again today?" Cho – Hee speaks to me as she sees us I entered the carriage.

"I thought you were sleeping." Was she awake all this time?

Cho – Hee yawns a bit.

"I was sleeping but go up just now."

Looks like she just woke up. I thought she found out I was outside for a long time.

"I just finished my turn for the night watch."

"Oh, then you should just get back to sleep. There is still time left to sleep a bit."

"Yeah, don't worry!"

Well, there is certainly still some time before the morning light. Cho – Hee falls asleep again and here I am just sitting, looks like I really can't sleep no matter how much I try.

Sighs…

What a waste of time….
