"Yes." Aiden replied as the screen changed a little as the Prince of Shadows moved into the Main job class section.

There weren't any major changes in Aiden's status screen but one thing that made him curious was his elemental energy.

'System, if shadow manipulation takes 1 elemental energy per second, then shouldn't I be able to use it for 50 minutes?' Aiden asked as he wanted to know why the system didn't show the remaining 20 minutes.

< That's for balancing your skill and making sure that you don't overuse it. There might be instances when you will leave this skill on and then forget about it so the time duration is there to prevent that from happening. > The system explained as Aiden nodded and closed his status screen.

'So now I have to choose a passive skill huh. My strength is 14 while agility is 9 so taking agility would seem like the best choice but if I take my shadow manipulation skill into consideration, I need more strength. So for now, strength it is.' Aiden thought and chose the strength skill.

He then opened his status screen to see the changes and sure enough, he had a plus 10 in his strength.

Now he had a permanent plus ten in his strength stat. In most games, there were two stats of stamina and strength. But the system didn't show Aiden's stamina so he wondered whether stamina was combined with strength or vitality stat.

< Your stamina comes under your vitality stat host. As for strength, it represents the attack power you have and does not include stamina in any way. > The system explained as Aiden nodded.

Aiden then glanced down to see the shadows of his bed.

'Is this light bulb a natural light source system?'

Depending on the system's answer, he might be able to start practicing his skill.

< Yes host, it's a natural light source and no, it's not a bulb. It's rather a piece of glass etched with some symbols and is absorbing the energy from our surroundings to give out light. >

"Shadow Manipulation." Aiden said out loud as he activated his skill.

He then focused on the shadows below his feet as he slowly raised his hand to see whether he could really manipulate shadows.

Aiden felt something connect him to the shadows as it slowly started rising up before the shadows hung directly below his hand.

The shadows looked like a puddle of black matter hanging in the air as Aiden slowly started moving his hands apart. The shadow slowly started expanding with his hands.

Aiden felt like a kid who had just received a new toy as he slowly tried to reshape the shadows and found out that it was hard for him to do so.

He had to close his eyes and concentrate on what shape he was thinking of to actually change the shape of the shadows. One more thing he found out was that he could only change the shadow into 2D shapes.

He then questioned the system about this and was told that he would have to practice making 3D shapes out of shadows and then practice a little more to make the shadows cover his entire body so that he could go invisible.

This meant that it was going to take him a long time.

'You weren't kidding when you said that this isn't a spoon-feeding system but it's still enough of a cheat for me. By the way, can I see how long I have been using the skill for?' Aiden asked since he couldn't exactly keep track of time without a clock.

< You can just ask me about it host and I will tell you about it. > The system replied before showing the duration of time he had been using the skill for.

In the past few months, Aiden had been able to figure out the time it took for one elemental energy to regenerate. According to his research and some help from the system, he had deduced that one elemental energy recovered every 3 minutes.

But there was one more thing that he was interested in.
