Time flies

Time got away from me. A day turned into a week, weeks turned to months and before I knew it 4 months had quickly passed. I spent most of my time with Lillith pouring through Lucifer's bookshelf looking up other gods. Lillith had said many can slip through the cracks because of the name thing. Different entities are known by different names and sometimes those can cross over into each other while other times it doesn't and one person has a plethora of different names. Michael was officially going by Leo now and Horde was ensuring that he knew just exactly what "dirty demons" were capable of. I questioned everyone but no one knew where Lucifer, Lamia, and Seli had all disappeared to, except Mika'il and he refused to tell me. Asmodeus made his appearance well known a few days ago and weirdly enough, was spending lots of time with Leo, B, and Horde. What they were doing was none of my concern as I absorbed any and all knowledge kept in our bedroom. The books were fascinating but the crossover of all the names still confused me. It was a lot to keep up with. Many names crossed to the same God but in other aspects they were different people. Greek, Christian, Norse, and Jewish seemed to overlap a lot in the human world but there were worlds separated with separate people that the texts in the human world didn't get right. Leo had thankfully kept his distance from me. I would catch his eyes pretty regularly when we were all gathered together. B had made a few comments regarding the bond, but one death stare and he would quickly change the topic. As bedtime approached, a frantic knock pulled me from my thoughts and as my head shot up, Leo's golden eyes glowing quickly grabbed my attention. He quickly closed the door in a hushed hurry as I raised my eyebrows questioningly and set my book on the table. His specks of light moved across his skin anxiously and he peeked up at me painfully whispering, "We have to bond soon.". I stood up allowing my marks to take their positions on my face and my face darkened. "I will say when we finish the bond." I said, crossing my arms and continuing, "Lucifer is still gone and I refuse to finish it if he is not near me.". He walked towards me as I backed away and touched a finger to my forehead. An overwhelming surge of urgency coursed through me and I stepped into Leo blinded by it. He stepped back where the feeling coursed through my body turning from this anxious feeling into pure unadulterated lust. As the effects began to travel to my lower body, I stepped away from him and smacked his hand where it broke contact. "What the f*** was that?" I asked him angrily. He sat in a chair and dropped his head in his hands and calmly replied, "That is what I feel everyday any time I am close to you and it's getting worse.". I just looked up at him dumbfounded. I was shocked. I shifted my weight to one leg and lifted my arm, resting my chin on it in thought. That was torture. Before I could think too much into it, Leo caught my attention again articulating, "Can I just sleep in here tonight because I'm not sure how much longer I can tolerate being away from you.". I countered awkwardly, "I-I-I didn't think angels slept?" I said dropping my arms. He looked up from his hands, "We don't but I don't think you understand how hard this is on me Mia." he said shakily. His freckles of light began to dart around on his skin even more sporadically and it worried me. I dropped my shoulders and huffed out "Okay fine." rolling my eyes. I went and took a hurried bath before changing into my nightgown. Leo was still there sitting in the same chair when I came out. "It's all yours." I chimed, grabbing the book I was reading and making my way to the bed. As I pulled the cover back a gust of wind whipped my hair and a blur passed by me. Looking over, Leo was already down to a white pair of boxer shorts, wet hair, and a huge smile plastered on his face. "Don't get too excited." I said, my eyes growing wide and annoyed. He nodded and proceeded to get under the covers. I opened my book but would sneak glances at his skin. It seemed as his specks had calmed down completely by just being close to me. He was looking over at me looking down at the book I was reading. Still looking at my book, I asked him, "So what has B and Horde taught you?". This seemed to open a door with him as he replied relaxed, "They've taught me lots of stuff. Horde wasn't fond of how B says you are supposed to treat human women so he called Asmodeus in and he knows alot about how to please your partner. He also said you started as a succubus so that I would have nothing to worry about on your end but that I needed to be up to par.". I bounced my eyebrows and flattened my lips before replying, "Wow.". "What?" he asked flatly. "I would not be taking relationship advice from them on how to treat women." I said chuckling. He replied back with a serious look on his face, "Well you won't help me so I have to learn somewhere." his brows furrowed a bit. A brief silence took over before he broke it, "It gets worse everyday. Lucifer had said you didn't feel the pull as he did until after your bond." Leo stated matter of factly. "What else did Lucifer tell you?" I queried, setting my book aside and looking at him. His face seemed surprised for a moment before looking as though he was thinking hard about what he was going to say next. "There's a lot that Lucifer told me. He's not happy that he has to share you but he knows it's what's best. He said you like chamomile and aren't very materialistic but that actions resonate more than anything.". "Is that all?" I asked him. He nodded 'yes' and flopped back on the bed staring at the ceiling. I pulled the covers up and flipped my lamp off, snuggling in for bed. "Mia?" he called. "Hmm?" I responded tiredly. "I think something bad is coming." he said in a whisper. I yawned, "Why do you think that?" I asked, sleep present in my voice. "My lights have never acted like this and the way that Lucifer described his bond to you is not how my bond is unfolding. I think the creator is rushing it for a reason.". I rolled my eyes saying "Goodnight". He only replied with a "Mhmm". I rolled on my side away from him when I felt his arm grip my stomach and pull me to him. I popped my eyes open asking "What are you doing?". "B said women like when you're the big spoon and Asmodeus says that women like when you take control." he said naively. I pulled his arm from around my waist saying, "Don't rush it Leo or I will boot you out." a tired look of annoyance plastered on my face. He quickly moved over to the other side of the bed and put his hands on his stomach twiddling his thumbs. After I was comfortable again, I drifted off to sleep.
