Chapter 12 Uninvited guests

Fen, was surprised to see her mother-in-law standing in the terrace room with a backpack on her back when she left the room.

"Mom? Did you just come? You should give me the news first, Mom, come on in, it's already late at night," Fen opened the door wide for her mother-in-law.

Those sharp eyes glanced at Fen, "Why are you so quiet? Where are David and your children?" The middle-aged woman glanced around the house.

Fen thought about her husband again, "Oh, my husband isn't home yet, Mom. Maybe he's too busy at the office. We had a phone call this afternoon, he said they were having a meeting. I also don't know what the theme of the meeting is." Her voice was deliberately set low so that the two toddlers who were just sleeping could not hear it. Femi slowly walked into the kitchen, making hot tea for her in-laws.

When he returned, he saw his mother-in-law sitting back, in the living room.

Mrs. gasped, and when she heard Fen's chatter, she didn't stop since morning. He casually got up and washed his face at the water faucet, then approached Fen who was still struggling with kitchen work.

"Fen, can I borrow your money or not? Mom wants to go to Aunt Kelly's house. I hope to pick up people's orders while shopping for cheap groceries at the lurch's office. Subsequently, mom goes straight home, but… Mom also needs money for the fare going home," said Nancy without shy one bit.
