Harmony of Opposites

Abbey and Yosef waited in front of the sphere made by the waves of light and darkness in which Jason and Julia were in.

"How long will it take?" Abbey asked.

"Right now, we can only wait," said Yosef.

Meanwhile inside the sphere, Jason was still standing in front of Julia. For some reason, he was hesitating to make a move.

"This better work. Otherwise I will get back at him if he's trying to pull my leg at a time like this," said Jason.

After taking a deep breath, he went closer to Julia. Julia was still unconscious. Her hair was floating as if she was underwater. The scar marks on her back and on her shoulders radiated a quick glow from time to time.

Jason then embraced Julia in his arms. He bit his own lips. Then he closed his eyes and leaned his face forward. His lips pressed against hers. He felt the warmth and softness of her lips. At that moment, Julia opened her eyes.

To her it was like she was in a dream. A dream she would never want to wake up from. Julia then closed her eyes again. Julia wanted to enjoy the moment as much as she could while their lips were intertwined.

After a while, the waves surrounding them started to disappear. Jason opened his eyes and carried Julia out of the sphere in his arms.

Reina rushed towards them. The other physicians took Julia to the medbay.

Reina put her fingers on Jason's lips.

"Need me to patch it up for you?" Reina asked.

Jason removed her hand, "No need."

As Jason was leaving, Reina pulled him back and kissed him.

"This brings back memories," said Reina.

"Was that really necessary?" Jason asked.

"But it seems like you enjoyed it."

"Every man will appreciate a kiss from a beautiful woman."

Reina blushed hearing Jason's words and didn't say anything.

Jason went outside while Reina went back to check on Julia.

After a few hours, Reina called for Jason.

"What's the matter?" Jason asked as he entered the medbay.

Reina was beside the entrance of the medbay.

"She is awake now. Just to let you know," said Reina.

"Thanks."

Jason went inside the room Julia was in. Seeing Jason, Julia tried to get up from the bed.

"No need to force yourself. You need to rest," said Jason as he sits beside her on the bed.

"I apologize for being so weak, Sir."

Jason patted her head.

"You are one of the strongest people I have ever seen Julia. So never think that you are weak."

"But, Sir..."

"And no need to continue the formalities. From this day forward you no longer work for me."

"What have I done wrong, Sir?"

"That's not what I meant. I want us to go back the way we used to be."

"But what about your condition, Sir?"

"Forget it. I was just making things hard for you. I was only seeing things from my side without considering your feelings. I am sorry. I hope you can forgive me for keeping you waiting."

"Does that mean....?"

"Yes."

Julia was happy and excited that she leaned on Jason and hugged him.

While it was a gentle hug at first, Julia's grip got a bit tighter.

"You alright...?" Jason was going to ask.

But he saw Julia crying. He didn't say anything.

"Let's go meet your father," said Jason after Julia stopped crying.

"But isn't that too soon?"

"Your father already knows everything. I have told him when you mentioned you wanted to work for me."

"Then the part of ..."

"Well, he is your father after all. He caught a gist of it the moment he heard about you changing your job."

Julia's cheeks got a bit red.

"Your face is turning red. You don't have fever, do you?"

Julia pushed Jason away and got under the blanket to cover her face. Jason just looked at her trying to hide her embarrassment.

"Alright, you rest for now. I will come back to check on you." Jason left the room.

Outside the room, Reina was standing.

"Anything wrong?" Jason asked.

"Nothing," said Reina as if she wasn't trying to answer Jason's question.

Jason then got closer to Reina and kissed her on her forehead.

Reina was caught off guard.

"Hey, what do you think you are doing? And here out of all places?" Reina asked while being flustered.

"If you are thinking she doesn't know then sorry to break it to you."

"Wait. Are you saying....?"

"Well, don't forget, she used to be an assassin and she was also raised as the heir to her family."

"I feel like an idiot. How am I going to face her now?"

"I would've said that's your problem if it had been anyone else. But you don't have to worry. If she wanted to do anything she could've done it way earlier."

"It's all your fault. Going around everywhere and seducing women."

"That was part of a big deal. Even I couldn't guess things would turned out like this."

After saying that, Jason was silent and his eyes downcast.

Reina gave a smile and hugged him.

"It's alright. I don't mind. Well, I did felt a bit sad at first. But I am not mad at you anymore as long as there's a place for me in your heart."

"Thank you," said Jason.

"Alright, you should go back to your friends upstairs. After they leave meet me at the lab."

"Will do."

Jason then went upstairs as Reina entered Julia's room. The conversation Reina and Julia had afterwards was only known to them.

Meanwhile Abbey and Yosef was waiting for Jason outside the villa.

"Sorry to keep you guys waiting," said Jason.

"How is she now?" Yosef asked.

"She is awake. She just needs to rest for the time being."

"And what about you?" Yosef asked.

"It's unusual for you to worry about me," said Jason.

"Alright you two can continue your old couple quarrel later. Hey Yosef, we have training to do. Let's go back," said Abbey.

Yosef and Abbey turned around and were about to leave when Yosef looked back and said, "Make sure to protect her all the time."

"You don't have to tell me that," said Jason.
