After teaching the young boy for a few more days I deem it ready to teach him an element. I approach him and see him instead of sitting down in a ball standing by a lone tree nearbye. He has started to look forward to these meetings with me from what I can tell, he shows more emotion and happiness when ever we train. Though I might just be imagining it he seems to be getting more comfortable around me. After some time I begin to speak "I believe today marks the day in which you will learn your first Element." I state basically. He looks at me with a little bit of anticipation in his eyes before asking a fairly simple question "What exactly makes an element different from the standard Mana form?" After some thought I answer with "It effects how the spell acts. For instance a water form of the wall spell will increase the defense capabilities while a lightning wall will instead make it deal more damage instead of increasing it's defense."

"And what elements can I learn?" he asks filled with curiosity. "I am not sure of all the elements but I am sure that there are many of them. I know the following: Earth, Water, Wind, Lightning, Mirror, Storm, and finally Life. Though I suspect there to be many more elements these are the only ones I have come across." I state quickly. "Do you think I could learn Life?" He asks hurridly after hearing the name. "I don't believe I could teach it to you even if you were ready for it. I don't even really understand it." I state carefully then continue speaking "So please choose either Water or wind. For now I believe you shouldn't struggle to much with these elements and I certainly won't struggle teaching them."

"Hmm.... They honestly sound pretty boring but if I have to choose one I suppose I will choose wind since it sounds cooler then water." he says with less interest. "That was the one I was hoping you would choose. So lets begin. Wind is in essence, always wanting to be free. Sometimes fierce sometimes calm it is always moving. Sometimes loud sometimes not it is always present. Wind is everywhere for the most part and because of this it is quite easy to learn." I continue trying to explaint the concept of the magic before heading to sleep for the night. He didn't make much progress and it seems that it will take a couple of weeks for him to get the hang of it. Though I suppose that is quite fast for someone who is only level four or so.

After I wake up instead of working on creating a form I instead visit double. It has been awhile since I last seen him and it would be nice to talk to him about what I have been doing. After finding him relaxing in the forest a little ways outside of town I began talking with him. "Double what have you been up to?" I ask happily. "Nothing much but training and socializing. What about you? I heard you got in a tussle with a divine Bird?" He states with a spark of interest in his eyes. "Yes you are right and I will be again in a month or so." I say plainly. After some silence he seems to have remembered something and begins to speak once more "The people here have officially named me there Shaman which is quite the honor. Though a little bit of a task It is rather fun having access to all the old shamans books. Though not useful they are still a good fun to read and understand the situation with the forest." he says calmly. "Yes I suppose that is quite interesting though I never saw you as the type in which went for such a role." I state with surprise.

"Yes I suppose not, but after meeting a young lad of the age of 10 it changed my mind. He is my personal Apprentice. He has a unique elemental affinity, the same as me." he states quite happily. "Well that is quite lucky of you. Speeking of Apprentices I have gained one myself, one who has lightning affinity." I state happily as well. "How did you find out is Elemental Affinity?" He asks in a surprised manner. "Through a new skill of mine. It lets me see many magical things as well as peoples magical affinities." I state plainly. "Hmmm. usually it takes a ritual of immense skill to do. It took me a day or two to accomplish but you can tell anyones magical affinity with just a glance?" he states rather surprised.

"Yes it isn't that hard." I say. He looks at me before scolding "You should have told me before I went through all the trouble, it would have saved me so many materials" he states jokingly. I laugh with him for a while before we get in another conversation. "I suppose your Apprentice should be rather lucky having you as his master" Double says With a smile on his face. "I don't know what you mean by that but he is sure learning fast." I state happily. "You don't suppose we should have a meet up with our Apprentices do you?" he asks slyly. "To test there skills." he adds. "I don't see the problem but it is up to them if they want to come. I doubt that my apprentice would be willing but if he is I will agree." I state confused at the notion. "Then come back to me with an answer and I can set up a Sparring match between them. Should spicen up there training" he says excitedly.

I head off shortly after to go around with my daily duties before heading to our training space before I see Maxin holding his breath while desperatly trying to cast a wind spike. I watch for a few minutes before he is blue in the face with concentration then I try to interupt him to stop him from putting himself in danger before I see a nearbye tree get striked by a Spike that was invisible. He succeded. That is impossible. The system said he required more than a week or two of practice to learn the element, how could he learn it over night? As I approach I see him lay down breathing heavily on his knees as he tries to rest from the exhaustion. As he sees me approach he lies flat on the ground from exhaustion.

"What were you doing maxin?" I ask with a little bit of worry. "I figured it out." he says before taking a deep breath "The way of the wind. All I had to do is not breath and I can feel the wind element much better. I think that if I practice this tactic for a few more days I could fully grasp the Element!" he says happily. I look at him with puzzlement as I ponder the topic. How could depriving yourself from air help you become more in tune with it? And how did he even find this out. I look at him more closely before noticing something horrible. I could see that his limbs seem to be blue already, almost as if from frigid cold water. I look closer and see that the boy has dark spots under his eyes and his hair is moist as if he just had a bath.

I look at him before slowly saying "who hurt you." The boy looks at me and seems almost scared from my emotionless voice. "No one important. Just a few of the new guard recruits trying to test there strength. Nothing that matters." he quickly says. "I will fix this." I say before quickly leaving in seek of Daniel. After finding him finishing up watch I quickly begin speaking to him. "I have a question sir daniel." I state calmly. "What is it oh great Dragon?" he asks hurridly. "I hear that some of your new recruits have been practicing there craft on my Apprentice." I state cooly. "New recruits? I suppose you mean the three boys who came in today. They were harming others? And one of your Apprentices no less?" he states getting angrier by the second. "You are lucky my apprentice held back or I am sure he could have killed all three of them with a few magical strikes." I say coldly. "I will quickly expell them from training and revoke them from doing anything that could become dangerous at once. I will also make clear to them who they decided to mess with. I am very sorry for what happened and will make sure it doesn't happen again" he states as he hurridly walks away in the direction of the houses used for living.

After telling Maxin that he could have the day off I lead him to my resting place to rest and to heal as I go back home to sleep. He seems rather upset when he is asked to come and rest at my home but after I insisted he came with me begrudgingly. He arrives and I give him some food and make a small pallet for him to rest on. He falls asleep quickly after I feed him as I stare at him sadly. I cast Life Boost on him to help heal him while he sleeps before I too go to bed.

I hope you enjoy the chapter have a great day.
