"That went... better than I expected." Jessica widened her eyes in shock. "Should I set up a flight to China?"

"Set it up for Carter." Ariana spoke before Carter could.

"No, this is your deal. Not mine." Carter protested and waved his hands in front of his face.

"Yeah, a deal built on your kind heart. You need to go. Not me." Ariana clapped him on the back and got up. "Jessica work with Carter to schedule that flight, please."

"Yes, ma'am." Jessica nodded and looked over at Carter. "You have-"

"I won't go alone. Can you pencil her in with me? I'll find someone to watch the kids." Carter gave her a desperate expression.

"Of course, sir." Jessica grabbed both of their schedules.

"How's Lucky?" Carter cleared his throat.

"She's good. Whines when I leave for work, but otherwise she's been lovely." Jessica warmly smiled. "How are you holding up? Better?"

"Trying," Carter sighed and searched the screen. "Did you find a time?"
