"So, how did it go?" Karla smiled, looking between them, with her hands clasped on top of their file with a pen between her fingers. "Did we say those magic words?"

"Yes," Carter and Ariana answered in unison.

"So, what do we want to discuss since saying good morning and good night to one another, even on tough days?" Karla searched between them, sensing the tension.

"He booked me a flight back to New York with the kids even after I said for him to go alone." Ariana crossed her arms over her chest.

"You didn't tell me to go alone, Ari. You said that it was my deal so I should go alone when it was your deal." Carter argued and scoffed.

"That's saying for you to go alone, Carter!" Ariana yelled at him, and Karla widened her gaze at them.

"Hang on. Explain." Karla stopped them for a moment.

"Ariana scored this deal with a distributer," Carter began.

"Yeah, by using information about the good you are doing in Milan, Carter." Ariana rolled her eyes.
