"SHE IS ALIVE!!!"

Jennifer avoided Emmett's gaze.

She subconsciously shifted further away from him. It was better that she create a safe distance between them now and in the future so that he could not get any clues about her.

Matthew explained them about the current status of the company. They were facing financial problems. As the company was new, the employees recruited were less. This led to the problems that the company was facing.

Melvin himself was going to come and solve the problem, but then he heard about the assignment given to the students of HEC by Emmett. He first declined, afraid that the students may increase his workload.

But he sighed in relief when heard from Emmett that he himself was going to help in it. Who would not be happy if the big boss was going to help.

Of course Emmett had his own reasons for readying himself for helping his cousin brother-in-law.

This sly man wanted to find more about Jennifer. He wanted to confirm, if that woman was the same from two years ago.

The both of them were then escorted in a room and left alone to talk.

But what was there to talk about? Jennifer did not want to have a single word exchange between them. Ava had told her that Emmett did not talk much, hence she could be considered lucky.

Alas! the man had some different plan. He kept staring at her intently; mainly in her blue pair of eyes, beyond her big round glasses.

In a hotel suite,

"Hello brother. How are you doing?"

A man's husky voice sounded from the other side of the phone, "I am fine. What are you doing nowadays?"

"Advancing on knowing few capable people. They may come to use in the future." He gave a sly smile.

"But why is your voice so hoarse brother?" He continued, worriedly.

"Had a hangover from last night's drink. My throat is a bit uncomfortable from all the drinks. By the way, when are you planning to come back home, Adam?" The man asked gently.

"Are you still hung up on that b*tch brother? She meant harm for you. Why don't you understand?" Adam got irritated. He clearly knew that his brother would drink in his sorrow, reminiscing about her death. He had a high alcohol tolerance, but whenever he remembered that girl, he would get drunk. And last night he must have drunk a lot because it was a special day for him. He had met her first time on that day.

"Adam!!" The man on the other end gritted his teeth, "I have told you several times not to insult her. Why don't you understand? My doll was....." He breathed out and continued, "Nevertheless, do not ever insult her again Infront of me." He threatened in a low voice.

"She is dead brother. You have to get over her, she is gone... forever."

"She is alive!!!" The man roared, "She will eventually come back to me. I will search every corner of the Earth to bring her back." He hung up the phone in rage.

Adam sighed. She had made his brother loose his mind forever. He was unwilling to accept her death.

Jennifer was getting flustered by the man's intense gaze. If this goes on she would be burnt down alive by his scorching gaze.

Ava had told her that Emmett did not take the initiative to start a conversation. Left with no other choice, Jennifer opened her mouth, "What are we suppose to do now? I mean have you had any ideas?"

The man was silent for a long time and when Jennifer thought that he was not planning on answering her, he simply replied "hmm."

Jennifer: "..."

'Is this man's brain functioning in a slow pace. Who takes this much time in answering a simple question and that too with just a simple word "hmm" which meaning is difficult to decipher based on my question.'

Jennifer gritted her teeth and spoke, "What do you mean Mr.Tessier? If you have any ideas, please do the honour to share with me."

"No." The man heartlessly rejected her.
