*WPC #139 FL-modern werewolf Silver Tier ************** "Reject me, Ezekiel." How she wanted to repeat saying his name. It could be her favorite word from now on. "So that your throne won't be compromised by having a mate like me." If it were in any other circumstances, Ezekiel could have closed his eyes to savor her voice upon calling his name. But he was starting to feel the rising rage in him. His grip on her throat slightly tightened. If she were any other wolf or someone else less than him, they would already cower by just meeting his gaze. "Do you..." He swallowed hard in contained anger. "Realise..." He inhaled a huge amount of air. "The extent..." A second before he finished the last words deliberately. "Of what you were asking?" He retorted, emphasizing each word to make her understand what she wanted him to do. Yes. Her mind paused. Not really. A dreaded thought shook her courage. Her gaze at him faltered. "You were after my people's lives. Do you think I would just let you roam around freely and take them?" "You would kill me if only I wasn't your mate, right?" She believes that's the only reason that she's still alive by his hands until now. Asking that question made her swallow hard the lump in her throat, as the hurt started to rise again. "You said so before." She added. ******************** Too much for being a werewolf. A werewolf that can never shift. But that's the last of her concerns. Lorna came back from the terrace. She found Liz on the telephone, talking with the laundry service, probably. Walking to her bed across from the woman, she settled herself on the soft mattress and waited for her company to finish talking with the service.
"Sure. Thanks." Melisca said and put down the telephone. She looked around her, scanning her eyes from where she might have thrown her socks earlier. She squatted down and searched under the bed. There, she found it.
"What did they say?" Lorna asked without glancing at her as she was tapping the screen of her mobile, replying to someone.
"The laundry service will be here in a minute to fetch our clothes, and we can have it back tomorrow afternoon. Is it okay if we leave at that time after they deliver it to us?" Melisca stood up and gathered her used outfit. The leather jacket and black half-finger riding gloves, a red cotton sleeveless shirt, black skinny jeans, socks, and undergarments. She loves the combination of black and red. For her, it looked cool and dangerous.
"Only if you include mine." The girl replied with a sheepish grin on her face and grabbed her used clothes from the floor.
"Sure."
Melisca heard footsteps outside the door, then stopped, and a knock sounded three times. She stood up, went to the door, and glanced through the peephole. Though she already thought it was the laundry service, still, taking extra precautions wouldn't hurt.
She opened the door and didn't make the laundry girl get in the room anymore. They both just put their clothes in the basket the personnel were carrying.
"The charge would just be added upon check-out, right?" Melisca inquired to the girl when Lorna entered back into the room. The two of them remained outside.
"Yes." The service girl answered with a slight shake in her voice, and she couldn't even look at Melisca straight in the eyes.
"If anything is damaged in there, we won't pay any amount for your service, understood?" She spoke with a plain tone, not to scare the girl but just to warn her.
"Y-yes, is there anything else?" She finally glanced up at her, and their eyes met. Melisca smiled, but her eyes gave warning that the girl bowed her head immediately.
"Don't worry, I don't bite, and yes, that's all, thanks." She closed the door without waiting for her to respond anymore.
Lorna was already lying down on her bed, fumbling her phone. Her droopy eyes were a sign that any time now she would fall asleep. However, Melisca went to the vanity mirror and sat down, her turn to dry her hair. She knew it would take some time from the length of it.
The buzzing sound of the hair blower startled the girl behind her so that her phone jumped from her hand. Melisca saw it through the mirror's reflection. She almost laughed at that, but she bit her lips to stop herself. Lorna, now fully awake again, continued to use her mobile.
After some time, when her hair was damp enough, she turned off the blower and put it back on the table. Lorna was behind her only half-awake now, her lids almost closing.
"What time is it already?" She asked, and the girl flinched in her voice and moved herself to a sitting position.
"Ten, I'm hungry." Her reply was with a heavy voice.
Melisca looked at the bags of food on the table under the LED TV stuck on the wall.
"There's food in there." She pointed and turned to the vanity table again to unplug her electric lighter from charging. "Help yourself out."
Lorna's face lit up. She put down her phone and got out of bed in an instant. Approaching the food in rapid footsteps, she opened the bags one by one.
She let the girl rummage through the food stocks while she sauntered to her bed and reached for her backpack to fish her cigarette box. She has to put off some stress and gather her thoughts on what to do next. Smoking helps relax her nerves and cools her system down.
Melisca opened the curtain and the sliding door to the terrace.
"You won't eat?" Lorna asked when she heard her opening the glass door and a chilling wind from the night outside blew into the room.
She paused and turned to her. "Later, I'm not that hungry. I'll just have a stick." Giving a half-smile, Liz resumed going out and sliding the door back closed. The curtain remained open though, but she did it on purpose to be keen on the girl from time to time.
Their room was on the fifth floor, not enough of a worthy view in the area. Small buildings around and a few cars running at the highway below. The neighborhood she's currently in was far more upscaled than the last one from her bounty hunting. The buildings were much cleaner and had no writing on the walls. The roofs are rust-free and are good enough to survive a storm. There were even benches on the sidewalks. She glimpsed a police patrol too, rounding the area.
She lit a cigarette and plopped one to her lips. She exhaled some smoke and looked far beyond the night sky. Her mind wandered to all the possibilities. Leaning at the side of the railing, putting her weight on one foot.
What could have happened if the alpha got her? How would things turn out? Can she trust him? Can she be able to trust anyone? What if history repeats itself, and the people who were after her would kill her new family too? They killed her parents because they ended up together despite being on different sides of the war, and they intend to take her life for being a hybrid human and wolf. Is she such a poison in nature? She hasn't done anything.
Yet, because of what they did, she was about to do everything, to get back at them, and much worse.
She was about to puff on her stick again when she felt something that made her still. She focused her senses to make sure of what she just hinted.
"Liz, get in here." The low but urgent tone from Lorna startled her.
She was so focused on her thoughts and about the new wolf in the area that she had come unaware of the girl opening the door behind her.
Melisca turned to her company as she threw the cigarette's butt below, not minding if anyone unlucky could be hit by the used stick.
Why is the girl panicking, anyway? It's not as if the wolf knew about their identity.
She sighed and led herself back into the room and closed the sliding door and the curtain.
"What's wrong?" Melisca asked as she saw Lorna quickly changing into some casual yet sexy clothes, stripping in front of her that made her look away.
"Get dressed, there's a wolf in the area." Her reply was, stuffing some needles in each side of her waist.
"We run again?" She remained standing.
"No, we hunt. My partner texted me that there were some wolves in a nearby nightclub. What luck we are in the area." Lorna now put on her semi-high-heeled sandals, bending down as she sat on the bed. "What are you doing? Don't you want to come?" She glanced up at her as she remained glued on the spot. Standing up to fix her hair for the place they are going, she added, "This is the start, Liz, for the justice of your family."
Melisca moved, her mind was still processing the information she just heard. But for now, she had to get dressed, raking up her mind if she had an outfit for such a place.
Walking towards her bed in a few strides, she grabbed her backpack on the far side. She opened and rummaged inside what she had with her. She yanked out a red tank top, sports bra and black drawstrings cotton shorts, then went to the bathroom to change.
Lorna, settled on the vanity desk, brushing a mascara to her eyelashes. A lipstick, make-up kit and brushes sprawled on the table. She noticed when Liz went to the bathroom to change. The woman could be uncomfortable stripping in front of other people. She shrugged and just focused on dolling up herself in the mirror.
A few minutes passed and Melisca got out of the bathroom. Lorna halted, her lipstick on the lips, as she glanced at Liz through the reflection.
"Wow, you look like you gotta bang some men."
Liz's eyes turned dangerous as she scowled at the girl.
"Seriously, you got it all what a man lusts for." The girl complemented and resumed with her lipstick.
Melisca shrugged, she knew how she looked. With the red tank top, she's wearing, her cleavage is on display, blessed with large round perky breasts. It complemented her lush curves, the small waist she's got and her toned stomach muscles. Her silky white skin gives her a sensual aura with the red colour of her sleeveless, along with the bright red strands of the highlight from the underlayer of her wavy her.
The black shorts she's wearing only cover half of her lustrous thighs. Not a single scratch on her skin makes her a model-perfect figure. She's not as skinny as a stick though, but her hourglass figure could get any girl insecure.
Lorna somehow envied the woman, she would be an effective distraction than her, but she didn't mind though, as long as the mission was accomplished. Liz doesn't need any make-up too. Her already long and thick eyelashes would make anyone think that she had put on mascara and eyeliner. She has no dark circles under her eyes and her closed smooth pores with heart-shaped plump lips that could make any woman jealous.
"Stop ogling me, though I'm into women also." Melisca stated while sitting on the bed and putting on her boots. She doesn't have any footwear other than the one she already had. Her black shiny lace-up combat boots can be folded in half though, so the length could just be above her ankle. She doesn't need high heels for she has naturally long limbs, she's blessed with a height already. Her boots had a side zipper that she could opt to use easily.
She just had to fix her weapons then she was done. She can live without make-up though, doesn't like wearing them on her face and she doesn't know how to put them on either, so it's fine for her.
"What? You're into women?" Lorna stared at her, bewildered.
"I'm into both." Her short answer.
It's not like a big deal anyway, but yes, Melisca was really into both. She had a sensual encounter with the same sex before. But she's pickier with girls, she doesn't just get involved with them easily. And if she does, it's just for past time, kissing and touching them, hearing their moans brought her joy. Though she hadn't kissed any man yet, she knew enough about women.
Inserting her knives in both boots. Lorna spoke again.
"Knives don't work, you know. They would just heal themselves." The girl finally stood up, finished her makeup and faced Liz. "And you don't know yet how to use a needle, where exactly to inject them so it went straight to their veins, their blood system. I'm not also sure if you are capable of killing or if your conscience can take it."
Melisca stood up when she had done her last outfit, the girl's mumbling went through her other ear. Only the first words she said stuck in her mind and made her turn around. Hair swaying beautifully around her, the wavy locks and the sneaking red highlights under the dark brown strands winking to anyone who sees, that there's something bloody underneath. She replied in a low tone with a sly smirk.
"Who said I would just cut them?" Then she walked to the door and waited for Lorna.
