8 months later
I woke up with a headache, stirring lightly. My eyes fluttered open. What happened, i tried to recall. Wait—i was running away, and was about crossing the road when i was run over by a car—wait, it hit me? Why am i not dead? I struggled to recall what happened after that but could not. I looked around in confusion, the most important question is where am i? How did i get here? did some one saved me?
All those questions ran through my head, as i my eyes darted around the strange room. I was in a very big size able room. It's light was as bright as anything i could remember. The room was spacious, it had had interior designs and other expensive furnitures. I looked around hoping to recall where i was. When suddenly, a strange headache struck me. I hissed in pain before hearing the door clicked open. A woman in her 60s with grey-blonde hair walked into the room. Her surprised eyes met my confused state. She dashes towards me, i have to say i was kind of surprised to see an old woman like this, moving so fast. In no time at all she was beside me.
"Finally! You are awake! Oh thank goodness! We thought you were going to sleep forever." She exaggerated.
"Sleep...
"Yes darling, you've been in coma for months now."
"Months?"
"Yes dear, i found you lying on the roadside, on my way to a conference. I had to rush you to the hospital, with the help of my grandson of course."
"I was in the hospital?"
"Yes, you were." She answered, feeling happy that i was awake," pardon me, i never introduced myself. I'm Mila Garcia, the grandmother of Diego Garcia. But you can call me grandma."
I started at her for a bit, quite in disbelief of what was happening. Many questions where running through my head. I was running away and now i am in a mansion. Just what exactly happened. Does it mean that mom and dad doesn't know of my location. Cause i don't want them to. I snapped out of my thoughts when i heard her phone rang."oh! Wait here darling, i'll be right back." She stood up and left the room to receive the call. I got up from my bed trying to regain my balance, i guess being in coma can make your legs unable to stand straight. I struggled to keep my feets up when grandma came in and gasped hurrying to help me. "Darling be careful, you've been in coma so you can't stand completely straight, but ...if you insist— she looked at me in approval. I slowly nodded my head."I could use a straight of leg."
"Okay then, let's see if you can walk, ok... careful... alright" grandma helped me walk out of the room, she was really a sweet person.
I steadied myself and began walking without her help. She took me around the spacious house until we arrived at the breakfast table. Oof that was a long walk, i guess because the house is big, that's why. Delicious aroma filled the air, i looked at the meals placed on the table. So much food, i stared at it my mouth watering. All of a sudden, my tummy rumbled. I smiled sheepishly. Grandma eyes widen in realization, "You must be starving, of course. Here...
She helped me to the table , pulling out a chair for me. I sat down muttering a small thanks. I looked at the meal, it was scramble eggs and cheese. On the other plate was, waffles and maple syrup. Then the other, bacons and avocado. I stared at it, it looked so appetizing, i have never eaten such food in my life, i quickly dig in. Savouring the sweet taste of the meal. Hmm so delicious. Seeing my actions, grandma chuckled adding more to my plate. "Have more dear." I blushed in embarrassment. She quickly added with a sweet smile, "Don't be embarrassed, dear. Eat to your heart content." She chirped happily.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, dear."
"Can you tell me more...of how i got here."
"Yes, of course, i can. You were brought here after the doctor discharged you, saying you would be awake in a few days. So i insist we brought you home. At first, Diego refused but i convinced him and he let me bring you home."
"Why... would you do that?" I asked, she could have left me helpless at the hospital but she didn't. She sighed before saying," i couldn't just let you stay at the hospital without no one to take care of you while in coma, besides i had nothing to do, so it was a pleasure." She smiled gently," oh, and diego called actually, he said, he was coming back soon when i told him of your recovery. But tell me something, do you remember anything else? Your family? Or where you come from?"
"Um... I couldn't tell her that i ran away from my wedding, only to end up here. She might want to find out my family background and who my family is. I didn't want to tell her that yet. What if she returns me. I shivered at the thought of going back to that hell, and marrying that—disgusting man alone makes me want to puke. Grandma noticed my terrified expression.
"Darling.. dear?" She called, snapping me from my thoughts.
"I don't remember anything." I lied, covering up. I Know lying was bad to someone who saved your life. I could have been dead, if she hadn't rescued me. Her eyebrows ceased in worry. "So you... don't remember your name?" I pretended to think before answering, "i do remember my name actually, it's...
I was about telling her my name when...

Garcia enterprises
"Sir, we've informed the marketing department. They will be here any minute." Informed Jerry, Diego's assistant.
"Okay, you can leave now." Diego waved his hand in dismissal. After he was left alone, he flopped back into his chair, feeling stressed. Today has been a long day and he wasn't even done yet.
Some minutes later, a crowd of four rushed in after waiting for his permission.
"Sir." They saluted
"What took you so long?"
"Um... sir... we..."
"Nevermind, here." Diego handed them a file of documents," i want you to look at this design, and choose the right one to make the products. Then, report back to me tomorrow morning. Have i been understood?"
They shared worried glances, will they be able to choose a design that fast? It takes time to make a perfect choice but they know too well than to upset their boss, so they nodded anyways.
"Yes sir." They all feared the arrogance of their boss. So no one dares speak against him. That was until one of them spoke up. "But sir, with all due respect. It takes time to make a right choice for the products, we have to test the analysis and examine the pattern throughly. For it to be perfect, we still have to perform some examination, Sir."
" I see... you are correct. Diego nodded, "BUT IF I DON'T SEE IT IN MY OFFICE TOMORROW, YOU WILL PAY THE PRICE. UNDERSTOOD?" Diego yelled
" Y–yes s–sir." He stammered visibly.
"Now... you all leave!" They didn't need to be told twice. All of them scurried out of the office in a hurry. Diego stood up to stand close to his giant glass window. His mind drifted to his grandmother, how was she? Maybe he should call her, he paused when he remembered the girl he, and his grandmother rushed to the hospital. He suggested to let her be; her family would probably come find her. But, grandma refused, insisting they take her along. She pestered about it until he finally gave in. She was really happy and that made him puke. What's there to be happy about. When she recovers, she will have to leave the house. So there's nothing to be happy about there. But he didn't want to burst her bubble yet. So he played along.
"Maybe, i should call grandma." He brought out his phone and dialed her number. Immediately, she received the call. "Hello! Grandma."
"Hi Diego."
"How are doing, is everything fine?"
"Yes, everything is fine. But, i have goodnews about the girl." Grandma spoke in excitement. "She is awake!"
"Oh really?"
"Oh, please! Show some concern, Diego Garcia!" She scolded.
"Okay, then I'll be hang up now, i'll talk to you later."
"Come home." She demanded, just as he was about to hang up.
"But grandma, i can't! I have to...
"Come home now! You been working all day long, can't you take a break."
Diego sighed."Fine... you win. I'm coming home in a few minutes, okay? Happy?"
She chuckled lightly before answering," yes, i am happy, see you soon."
"Yes, bye grandma."
"Bye."
With that he ended the call, i guess i should start going now. He thought.
He was about exiting when he heard a knock on his door."come in." A beautiful girl with light brown hair and blue eyes walked in. "Dahlia, what are you doing here?" Diego asked a bit offended.
"What do you mean, what are my doing here." She answered.
"I asked you a question." He gritted his teeth annoyed. Waiting for her response, when she didn't respond, he got angry and yelled," ANSWER ME!" She flinched, looking at him upset
"Diego, I've been trying to call you for a while now. And you weren't picking up. So i...had to come here." She answered.
"Haven't i told you NOT to inavade my personal space? Huh?"
"But... but Diego ... i
"Dahlia?" He pointed at his door, "start leaving,"
"But—
"No buts! Get going before i call the securities, Now!
"Just let me speak to you...
Diego didn't let her finished. He brushed past her making his way out of his office."SECURITIES!" He shouted. The securities arrived, rushing in.
"Get her out of here!" He ordered, before he left his office.
"Ma'am?"
The men were about ushering her out when she quickly stopped them, "STOP! I'll leave on my own." With that she stump out of the office.
Dahlia immediately ran after Diego seeing he was going out. "This will be the perfect chance to talk to him privately." She thought, running after him.
