Chapter XX

As Silas's scythe was about to touch the prince, a great transparent shield blocked the scythe. The prince looked toward to where the voice came from. When he saw his father and the frotlish battalion, he felt all of his worries gone, believing he was saved. Silas took a step back to see his new foes. The young prince rushed, fleeing from the soon to be battlefield. Running to his father's side like a bickering child.

Silas knew the forces were too powerful to overcome on their own. As much as he wanted to fight and defend the honor of his master, they had no other choice than to flee for now especially because of the mysterious weapons the dwarven prince accidentally mentioned.

Silas looked at Lorelay, seeing that she still wasn't able to break free from the bracelets, which were abstracting her from using any of her magic. He grabbed it from opposite sides, breaking the bracelet into two pieces, making a small explosion. It injured the surface skin of Lorelay's wrist.

Silas told her to protect Orazen with her life while he created a new teleportation circle so they could leave the capital. However, something seemed to be wrong since Silas wasn't able to start the spell. Somehow someone was apparently interfering with his teleportation spell.

As he knew he wasn't going to be able to use the spell, he tried finding the root of rid the problem with an appraisal spell but weirdly he wasn't able to use the spell either. At that moment, he noticed he had changed his fighting class and in that form, he wasn't able to use that type of magic. As he changed back to the mage class and his typical shendynt, he retried to start the circle, but it seem it was no use changing class, since his initial hypothesis was right. Someone seem to be interfering with his teleportation magic, as he used his appraisal skill he now knew who was the one responsible.

Now it was apparent that there was no other way out of this battle since it was the king's doing. He was using one of the kingdom's treasures, the crown of Dagda. Silas didn't know what the crowns power was, but he felt the immense power permeating from it. Silas had to get his master out of the capital and fast or otherwise they could all be killed in an instant by the strange powerful artifact the king had resting on his head.

"How dare you enter my great kingdom and attack my people! Who sent you here!?" the king asked angrily.

"May I assume you're the ruler of this nation? If so, may I offer you our most sincere apologies your majesty. We were just trying to get out of ether islands and accidentally got teleported here to your marvelous and advanced kingdom. As for the soldiers who attacked us, we were just defending ourselves from there unnecessary aggression. When I accidentally killed them…" Silas explained the matter at hand with grace and poise.

"Accidentally!? You killed them with no remorse! Father, I saw everything! They should all be put to death at once!" Prince Radinum yelled with anger and desperation.

"Silent Radinum! You're the heir to the crown, compose yourself! As my son mentioned, how could someone kill another accidentally?"

"I warned them to let go of their weapons. However, they decided otherwise henceforth our current dilemma."

"I see… however you did raise your sword at a royal which happens to be the future king of this nation. Also, you invaded our territory and killed my son's loyal retainers which happened to be high ranking royals. Even if I wanted to overlook the matter, I can't do such thing anymore. All I can is to offer you is a merciless death by my hand. While now that I think of it, where are the soldiers you accidentally killed?"

"That's them father! Next to the halfing pig!"

"How dare you call my master such word you brat!" Silas roared losing control and releasing his murderess killing aura.

"How dare he! How dare you! Once again, you show aggression against the future king of the dwarves. You shall die for your impudence! Seize him at once!" The king commanded.

As the soldiers moved towards Silas he elevated, making some kind of bright golden yellow spears form from thin air. They were lightning bolts with a huge amount of magika concentration. Lorelay's only task was to protect Orazen, making a few blood barriers domes. Making Orazen unobservable no matter how much anyone tried. What's more, the dome had a special counter measure for any who managed to reach him. Huge harp blood spikes would be released and return after hitting its target while absorbing the targets blood into the dome, making it stronger.

As Silas released the lighting spears, they clashed against a giant transparent shield which protected the soldiers from the lighting spears Silas had released. The king laughed at Silas' apparent insignificant efforts. However, the king noticed how the transparent shield seemed to start having some cracks. The king couldn't believe what he was seeing, his opponent had crack a barrier so strong not even 60 wyverns were able to make a scratch to it. Yet, this mage had somehow cracked it with a few lighting spears which is considered to be basic and weak elemental magic, thus any level 4 or 5 mage is able to use it.

Nevertheless, the ones that were supposed to be weak lighting spears were able to cracked the powerful and indestructible shield. Silas kept shooting at the shield, seeing he was making progress. However, his shooting spree was interrupted by an arrow that seem to be composed of magic energy.

As soon as he sense the arrow, he evaded with agility and style. Thinking he had achieved in evading it, he saw the arrow turned around and rapidly rushed to him. As he was about to escape from its reach once again, the arrow split instinctually into 9 more arrows, making it now 10 arrows following Silas through the air at rapid speed.

Lorelay, seeing his struggle, spread her wings getting ready to haul up from the ground. However, a figure in-front of her sent two slashing crest towards her. Realizing it's too late, both of her wings were slash instantly, making her screech in pain. The one responsible for the slashing crest was none other than Radinum, the prince.

An evil and sinister smile growing on his face with every step he took. Clamoring insults at the female nonstop, saying how she will be made into the kingdom's whore. As he kept walking towards her, Silas' attention had already been stolen by the wails of pain of his creation.

Feeling frustrated, he shot a spear of lighting at the prince, however, this spear was different. The quantity of magika poured into it was absurd, even for the one such as the king who was exponentially more powerful than the 60 wyverns.

The king knowing the spear would pierced through the barrier, did the only thing he could which was striking his son with wind magic to push him out of the way. The king's spell managed to barely push the prince out of harm's way. The king threw a second spell aiming at Silas, this time with great force and accuracy. The spell was intended to hit Silas on the chest to destroy his core, however, Silas had manage to see what the king trying to do.

Lorelay stayed on the ground, crying in pain trying to figure out why her auto regeneration hadn't stopped her pain and healed her wings. Suddenly she noticed a similar corroding in a minor and slower scale. It seem to be similar to the corroding effect of Silas's scythe. However, it wasn't even close to the effect and power the scythe had.

She suddenly started to feel a hand wrapping itself tightly to her neck with a horrible choking sensation, it was the prince choking her intensely with the look of a mad man. Orazen seeing how the prince kept strangling Lorelay, tried to get out of the dome. Despite every effort he made, he couldn't get out. Orazen tried to find Silas in the air somewhere, but the dome obstructed his vision. Meanwhile he heard a familiar voice and a royal blue and black smoky like black hole portal appeared in the air. As a headless body started to get devoured by the black hole, Orazen recognized the body and realized it was that of the wise like monarch.

As Lorelay was losing consciousness, she was also witnessed the fall of Silas's body from the sky above. Lorelay felt a great amount of grief and sorrow for the one who gave her a new purpose and advantage in life while knowing that now she had to step up and protect her master.

She hurriedly moved her arms trying to plunge her hands into the dwarf on top of her however, she was too weak; gradually losing herself to that eternal sleep she once had already felt.

As she felt all hope was lost, she once again reenacted the determination she had before Silas almost killed her. Though this time, she focused her force on the palm of her hands while shooting two blood spears into the prince's chest, killing him instantly.

The king witnessing the death of his son, his face teared up and then changed to one of anger, then madness, and then back to sorrow. He got down from his horse and came rushing towards the body of his beloved son. He hugged him tight, screaming in sorrow and making everyone near feel the same pain as him.

Suddenly, a strange occurrence started overwhelming everyone near. A great pressure of force started making everyone either kneel or kiss the ground. While the crown of the king glowed with a blinding light, the king got up and walked towards Lorelay, determined to finish her.

Orazen seeing how the king was targeting her, sent the dwarven corpuses to attack him. However, the king only swung his sword once at them, cutting them in half with just the shire force of the swing.

As he got closer to her slowly, she tried striking him the same way she had killed her son. However, her powers seemed to be sealed off once more. Once the king reached Lorelay, he started punching her with all his might. Lorelay tried blocking the punches but it was futile since the king was known for his great physical strength. The power and skills he had were only amplified by a sub skill of the crown.
