Meeting Miles Carver

Merry looked up at Miles, her eyes narrowing as if to analyze him.

"I heard that you work as an art curator, Anna. Is that true?" Miles asked smiling widely.

"Yeah, that's about it," Merry responded wondering if she somehow failed to recognize Henry.

"Is he not the Henry I know? Am I mistaken?" Merry wondered if she was wrong in her assumption.

"But that cannot be. He looks exactly like Henry- the same eyes, the same smile, the same everything. Well, except for the height and build. He seems to be slightly taller and more muscular than Henry. But that is a given, right? After all, we were sixteen when we last saw each other."

Merry kept thinking of various scenarios that she didn't even realize so much time had passed. Miles was already saying his goodbyes when she snapped back.
