At first, Spheris was silent, feeling the darkness in his mind once again.

'What is the meaning of this?' he asked Obsidian, referring to his absence.

'If you are referring to my absence, well I am a God, I have businesses.'

'Where were you?'

Silence for a moment, and then; 'My dear Spheris,' Obsidian's voice slithered around his thoughts like tendrils of mist, 'Always in such a rush. You are yet to thank me, for saving your life I mean.'

'Oh, I was going to... I was,' Spheris snapped, his amber eyes narrowing in the darkness. 'But that was before I woke up to discover five hundred dead Gallied people crumbled underneath their mountains. Then I see over five hundred SoulClaims added to my earlier three.'

'Ah,' Obsidian sounded sarcastic. 'Isn't that just horrible.'
