New Life
I slowly blinked at my reflection, paralyzed by shock. I saw little eyes, but barely. This obsidian rock wall has to be lying right? Right???
"Eek," I squeaked out. So, I guess I have a voice, kind of. "Scree, scree." Okay, so I definitely can't talk, which is unfortunate. Talking was always a privilege, and being unable to do so kind of sucks. I flap my wings in frustration, mad and confused. What am I supposed to do now? I can't see very well, and my surroundings just look scary from what I can see. I try to listen, and surprisingly, my hearing is picking up some stuff.
I put my head up, and close my eyes. I listen as closely as I can, trying to understand what I'm hearing. Okay, dripping. A plop sound from the sound of water dripping is all I hear. I sigh in frustration, still confused. At this point, all I can do is calm down. I have to think about what happened. Let's think.
Okay, my name is Alexander Riesling, and I'm 34 years old. I was a construction worker for Neil Corp. I loved to build things, such as sky scrapers. I used so many different blueprints, I actually memorized them. I was so capable, I could even operate many different types of machinery to help out building the actual buildings, even though I was the head architect. For my hobbies, I just played a lot of fantasy games and world building programs on my computer.
Now, in this situation, I am assuming I was reborn or something. I was playing a game while running multiple programs. VR is great, and with my skill I could run some background while doing a full dive. Connecting while doing a full dive is hard to do though while running so many programs. Seriously, multitasking is something I am good at though.
Now, usually in a situation like this from what I have read and watched, saying status or thinking it will help me understand my position. If I am lucky, there is a quest system to help me get started, hopefully. Right, now let me concentrate.

Ah, see that's nice. I have stats. Let's see, hmm. Wait a minute. I'm weak as hell. Why is my luck stat so low? Why is my hp 10? Why is everything so weak. And wait a minute, female? I was a guy in my previous life. I like women, and I was a well established person able to get what I desired(Not really). Why am I a weak female monster bat?
What about quests, and a store? I am unable to access anything other than this status screen for some reason. Grrr, why am I so unlucky...
Anyway, I guess I should start doing something. My Status seems to be giving me nothing but just that, status. There are some gray areas, so maybe if I level up enough I may gain more functions. I start to wobble my way forward a bit, trying to gain some semblance of self since I was a human once. I can already tell, being a bat will suck royally.
*Authors Note: Sorry im slow at updating. I work a lot, and when I get home I work on other stuff like building decks. Also note, Im writing this off of a phone. I shall acquire a computer in about a month, and hopefully I can commit more time to this story. My goal in the future is to actually to have a couple of chapters a week. And if Im able, no coins will be necessary for awhile. maybe around chapter 500 or so, because this story is extremely long and will require time. Hope y'all are patient, and enjoy this as much as I do daily. Lots of exciting stuff planned for this
