The Labour (1)

Three months had gone by in the blink of an eye, winter had come and gone, just as my birthday had, just as my baby shower had. Springtime came like an eagle on the hunt and suddenly I found myself practicing my squats around the house as my due date arrived. Doctor Sanderson had measured my hips, run some tests, and deemed that a natural birth was possible without any intervention, much to my relief. Even though he knew that I wanted a home birth, he constantly suggested that I go to the hospital because multiples were always high risk, and since this was my first pregnancy to carry out to term, it was an even bigger risk.

I still wasn't convinced, but decided that the hospital would be a better choice if anything should go awry. Everyone was relieved with that decision, especially Jason. He'd been worrying himself sick ever since that doctors visit and he took it upon himself to check my blood pressure every day before and after he came back from work.
