The Déjà Vu

"Is a pink chandelier a little bit over the top?" I squinted at the ceiling of the lobby. "Like a really big, Barbie's Dreamhouse type chandelier hanging right from the ceiling." I turned to look at Hugo and smiled hopefully. "What do you think?"

"I think we need to get you a drink." He made a beeline for the newly installed bar in the event room. "Sidecar?"

"I'm not drinking, make it a cranberry tonic." Since the start of my breastfeeding journey, I tried not to ingest alcohol for fear that it would seep into my milk and damage my kids. It was probably ridiculous and I had no real evidence since I didn't check in about it with my doctor, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

"Coming right up."

"How did you know that I needed a drink?" I took a seat at the bar in front of him and watched him work, sighing deeply as I tried not to think about how much I really did need the burn of tequila down my throat.
