When I finally landed after falling for what felt like 30 minutes, I was in a bedroom with purple walls, a computer desk, a queen size bed, and an open walk-in closet.
"Ok, well this room looks entirely better than my last apartment," I said looking around at all the stuff I could see from the clothes that were fully stocked in the closet to the huge TV hanging on the wall.

"Status," I said out loud as I took a seat on what I assumed was my bed.

I did a double take at the name that was on my status page and almost screamed either in excitement, frustration, or a mix of both.
"So if I'm reading this right, then that means I'm Jean Grey? Marvel Girl/Phoenix/Dark Phoenix/White Phoenix of the Crown Jean Grey?" I questioned the system before.
[That is correct. Death and Eternity wanted some entertainment in this world and decided to get it by making you their sibling's favorite host.]
"So, for all tense and purposes, I'm Jean Grey now?" I asked the system just to be clear on this.
[Yes]
"Wait, so are you the Phoenix or just a system?" I asked, curious about what the system is.
[I am just a small part of the Phoenix made into a system for you]
"Ok, wait, which Marvel world am I in anyway?" I asked the system.
[You are in a Marvel Universe that has been combined with the MCU and some other worlds]
"Ok, to be honest, I didn't expect you to tell me any of that and would likely give me a quest," I said.
[That seems like a waste of a quest. Now, back to the point at hand, say 'Skills' to look at the skills and abilities you have available]
"Skills," I said, and a panel depicting my skills showed up in my vision.

I looked at the skills I had available and decided to click on them to get a better understanding of them.
[Gamers Mind (Maxed): Allows the user to calmly and logically think things through, a peaceful state of mind, and immunity to mental intrusion and attacks]
[Gamers Body (Maxed): This skill grants a body that allows the user to live the real world like a game]
[Telekinesis (Basic): The ability to influence/control/manipulate matter or another aspect of a physical system with the mind or through other non-physical means]
[Telepathy (Basic): The ability to receive and transmit information with one's mind without physical interaction]
As I read through the info on my skills, it made sense to me that my telepathy and telekinesis would be at the basic level since I'm at level 1.
Before I could continue with the system, there was a knock at my door.
"Jean, sweetie, there's someone downstairs who would like to meet with you," a voice who I assume was my mom in this universe said.

Professor Xavier is interested in you joining his school.

- Impress Xavier by displaying your power
- Take his offer to join the school

My first quest, and it's to impress Charles Xavier, really? I hope this isn't one of those worlds where he gets a creepy obsession with Jean or something.
Anyway, if he's coming to recruit now, then this means I can probably rule out any of the movies taking effect since he usually recruits Jean when she's younger. Which also means that I'm probably gonna be out of my element if comic events happen.
Hopefully, there'll be some elements from the X-Men cartoons I grew up watching. That'll probably be my only saving grace until the MCU canon starts, if it hasn't already.
"Jean!" My mother shouted from outside my door, breaking me from my inner freak out that Gamers Mind should've really nipped in the bud.
"I'll be down in a sec," I said.
"Alright, but don't be too long," my mom said through the door before leaving.
Once I was sure she was gone, I prepared myself and hoped that I wouldn't make a fool of myself as I'll be trying my mutant powers for the very first time.
I changed out of the red pajama set I was wearing and into some khaki pants and a purple top and left my room to go downstairs where I heard my mother talking with Xavier.
