I saw two kids playing soccer and it was Millard and Hugh. I guessed that they must play a lot. Miss Peregrine didn't directly introduce me to the boys as they were in the middle of playing.
"Those two are Millard and Hugh. You will be able to be properly Introduced later." Miss Peregrine said.
I simply nodded in response as we continued on. We started to move forward before Miss Peregrine paused, took out her pocket watch, and turned to me.
"On second thought, I will have one of the children finish the tour. Make tour way to the tree over there and you'll find Emma, she'll finish the tour." Miss Peregrine said as she walked off.
I walked over to the tree and saw Emma with a rope around her shoulder as she seemed to be trying to find a way to get up by herself without Enoch's help.
"Hey, Miss Peregrine said you could finish the tour for me." I said as I walked over.
"Ahh, perfect timing, I need some help with one of my chores around here. Usually Enoch would help me, but he's been upset simce you arrived and is off sulking. Would you mind?" Emma asked as she held the rope in her hand.
"Sure, but what's the chore, and what's with the rope?" I asked despite knowing as I wasn't supposed to know.
"One of my daily duties, put the baby squirrel back in it's nest." Emma explained.
"What baby squirrel?" I asked with a concealed grin.
Just then a small squirrel landed on Emma's open palm.
"This baby squirrel." She replied.
"Well I can actually put the squirrel back for you if you want." I said.
"How would you get up there?" She asked curiously.
"Like this." I said as my Space wings appeared on my back but the way they appeared was if they were grown from my back.
Emma stared on in shock and evidently had finally seen my eyes as she was mostly focusing on her watch waiting for the baby squirrel.
"That's amazing. And... Your eyes!" Emma said.
I stopped grinning and looked at her.
"Sorry, I should've put my blindfold on, Miss Peregrine said that I didn't have to keep my eyes hidden, I didn't want to make you uncomfortable." I said as I quickly tried to put my blindfold on before being stopped by Emma.
"No! Wait!" She said quickly.
I paused what I was doing.
"Your eyes are beautiful, so you needn't hide them. I have just never seen such eyes before, it is like I am staring at the night sky." Emma explained as she put an arm on my shoulder.
I smiled widely as I out my blindfold back in my pocket. My eyes were still something I was self conscious about.
"Thank you, I have never had someone say such nice things about my eyes before. I appreciate it." I replied happily.
Emma nodded as she stared into my eyes for another minute or so.
"Ehem... The squirrel?" I questioned.
"Right, sorry. Here you go, the nest is just there." Emma replied as she pointed to the nest.
"Cool, I think you'll enjoy how great this is going to look." I said as i slowly flapped my wings and made my way up to the nest.
I carefully placed the squirrel back in the nest and landed back on the ground next to Emma who had watched the process in surprise. She could see that while I flew with my wings, it seemed as if bits of sparkling stardust were falling from my wings as I flapped them. It made for a mesmerizing sight.
"That was amazing! How did you do that?" Emma asked excitedly.
"It is just part of my Peculiarity. I have control over Space and can do some marvelous things with it. One of which involves making weapons if i need to, and of course, my wings." I explained.
"Why would someone your age need to make weapons?" Emma asked curiously before her eyes shined as if she had remembered something as she looked at my missing arm.
Noticing her eye's gaze at my missing limb I smiled and responded.
"Yes, that's exactly right. 5here are monsters in this world, as I'm sure you already know, and an encounter with such monsters is what caused my injury. I mean how else could I get injured, and those damn monsters would've taken my eyes if I wasn't so lucky." I replied.
"Wait? Could you see the monsters?" Emma asked incredulously.
"Yes of course, can't you?" I asked feigning ignorance.
"No, the Hollows are invisible, there is only one other person I know with the ability to see the Hollows, that is Abe." Emma explained.
"Abe? Wait, is that the man who saved my life, but hiw could I have the same Peculiarity as he does?" I asked.
"More importantly, how is it you have more than one Peculiarity?" Emma asked to which I shrugged as I didn't know.
That wasn't even a lie, all I knew is that I had multiple Peculiarities, but I didn't know how I was able to have it, aside from being given it by that Extra-dimensional being that I'd met.
"We need to speak to Miss Peregrine about this. Come on!" Emma said as she grabbed my hand to bring me back to the house.
"But Miss Peregrine said she had to leave and would be back by dinner time." I explained as I was practically being dragged towards the house.
Emma paused at my words before turning back to me.
"Very well. I might as well finish the tour and the introductions to the rest of the family.
I had a theory that Peculiarities were hereditary, so this would make Miss Peregrine instantly connect the dots and know that I am related to Abe. I don't know how she will react to not just that fact, but that I have multiple Peculiarities.
That is all a conversation that is meant for the future me to deal with. At the immediate moment, I will most likely be meeting more of the children as I already knew that Miss Peregrine has stepped out.
