Dawn

"Wow," was the only thing I could say after seeing the interior of the dormitory. A grand stairwell can be seen erected in the middle of the building, connecting the three floors together. A grand chandelier hangs elegantly on the ceiling. The entire hall gave a vintage and classy vibe. This is just absolutely gorgeous. What the--

My attention was immediately pulled out of the majestic room and to the lady standing on the stairwell. She was coming down from the second floor. She was wearing a beautiful blue turtle-necked and long-sleeved dress. It was beautifully embroidered, making the dress pop out even more. From neck to heel, she was fully covered. However, what caught my attention was her dazzling face. If I was not straight, I would have definitely gone for her.

She looks like a character from a novel that came to life. Her beauty is pure and elegant. It lacked any trace of evil, malice, and lust. As her straight and long silver hair tucked in her ears bounced ever so slightly as she descended the staircase, I could not help but feel a tinge of envy for her looks. A goddess, that is what she is.

"Good morning, I am Dawn. It is a pleasure to be at your acquaintance," she said with a beautiful smile while holding her dress up to do a little curtsy. She looked like a princess. I am fangirling over her.

"G-good morning, I am Thea. It is a pleasure as well," damn, I almost bit my tongue. Why am I nervous?

She merely nodded before walking right through us.

"She is magnificent," I murmured.

"Your room is on the second floor," sir Laks said.

My marvel continued to increase as I see the finest engravings on the staircase and walls of the hall. Contrary to the first floor which seemed like a lobby, the second floor is filled with rooms. After I counted, there are a total of 10 rooms on the second floor.

"One of them will be your room. Spend the day in the city. Tour and do whatever you want. The assignment of the rooms will be done before dusk. This is also my farewell, good luck to you, miss Silvers," sir Laks said before descending and leaving the dormitory.

Tour the city? That's great! I first toured the entire dormitory, but I failed to enter any room since all of them were locked. Afterwards, I went out to look at the city. There is a long road that passes through a mini-forest before getting back to the city. It seems like the dormitories are purposefully sent away from the city.

The nature here is really breathtaking. Even the air is pleasant to breathe. I like it a lot. Oh, what a coincidence. I could not help but smile after seeing Dawn once again. She is still breathtaking.

"Oh," she said while breaking a smile. "Hello again, Thea," she said with the sweetest smile.

I think I am falling for her.

"Hello, Dawn. You are so beautiful. I cannot help but admire you," I could not prevent myself from complimenting her looks.

My heart melted after seeing a soft smile from her coupled with her humble eyes.

"Oh, please. Look at you, you are gorgeous," she said with that same humble look.

Pretty and humble? Damn, unfair it is.

"Now, that is just buttering me up," I said with teasing eyes.

There it is again, her soft smile and gentle eyes. I am getting drawn to her pure blue eyes. "That is unfair. I mean it," she said with the look of a kid deprived of candy, but with a kind smile.

I am not a fool, but she has a certain atmosphere that makes me believe her.

I spent the entire walk chit-chatting with her. She is the most delightful person I have ever met. She had the kindest look, and it really seemed that she cared about what I was saying. Now, it is either she is genuinely like that or she is the most manipulative person I have ever seen. After we reached the city, I think I am in love with her, as a friend, that is.

"I doubt any man would be able to resist your charm," I teased.

She merely responded with her signature smile, but I knew she was just shy to affirm my point. I wonder how many hearts this lady has captured before.

Our peace was broken when a group of men came over our way. There were three of them and although I do not want to judge, they seem trouble. Their leader who was a muscular teen with blonde hair gasped after seeing Dawn. I can tell that he is trying his best to prevent his drool from coming out. I already showed a disgusted look on my face, but I was shocked when I saw Dawn.

She stood there with a straight posture. She fixed her hair by tucking it behind her ears; then, she held her hand and placed both of it just below her stomach. The air of elegance never left her, but her gentle smile suddenly felt sharp.
