“Natalia, we are fine…”
“This isn’t the imperial palace, Your Highness. At least allow me to do my job to guard you and the Luna Clarisse Howlet.”
Clarisse listened as Erina and her Beta argued back and forth with how tight her security was. Although she knew Erina was a fine Alpha who was perhaps as strong as her brother, Clarisse understood Natalia’s concern. After all, Erina was a precious member of the imperial family.
“Your Highness, I don’t really mind all of this,” Clarisse whispered into Erina’s ears as she waved at the guards that surrounded them, “Let’s just buy what I need and came here for, and then return to the imperial palace right away.”
She didn’t want to impose anymore. All she wanted was to buy a smartphone and a sim card so she could call Brielle. She was having this terrible hunch that has been gnawing on her insides since the early morning. Clarisse wanted to make sure that everything was fine and her worries weren’t true.
