CHAPTER 32

　　Dreydon

　　I got back to the hotel after running into my 'mate'. I still couldn't believe I met her. I half expected to never find her and if I did I thought it would be easy to reject her and move on. I was wrong on all counts.

　　I didn't really want her but I couldn't make the words come out of my mouth. All I had to do was say 'I Dreydon Demarco Delarentes reject you 'whatever her name is' as my mate' and I couldn't.

　　She was hot, that's for sure, but that I could get over. There were plenty of hot women who would be glad to have me bed them, probably with a lot less mileage, but that wasn't the point. When she said she had a mate, someone stronger and better it really got to me. Even now I wanted to know who he was and what made her want him so bad.

　　I knew I was selfish but I wanted her to want me, even if I didn't want her. Finding out she didn't make me want to prove myself to her. Show her I was strong and that I was her fucking mate and she would have no other.
