CHAPTER 31

　　Maxine

　　"What do you mean I have pure blood?" I asked Luca confused.

　　"It means that Ashley lied and the results were fake. Elder John stopped by and told me everything. Not only do you have pureblood but you're a descendant of the Caros, one of the most powerful pureblood couples that ever lived."

　　I sat there stunned. This was impossible. I read about the Caros and there was no way I could be connected to so much power. It was too much to take in.

　　I had always only been average. There was never anything remotely special about me. Sure I was smart but other than that I was just, Maxine.

　　Finding out that I was mated to a pure-blood alpha was one thing. I hadn't told Luca this but I truly didn't feel worthy. Now he tells me I have pureblood.

　　Sure I was happy. But there were still so many questions I needed answered, starting with why my parents never told me.
