Chapter 25: Going to Hogwarts (Edited)

The next school year was approaching quickly.

Shanna had been in a very bad mood lately. Not only did her favorite pastries no longer taste good to her, but even playing with her brother couldn't change her mood.

The reason for her bad mood was that her brother would soon have to go to a magic school called Hogwarts. Shanna asked her mother if she could go with him, but her mother told her she would have to wait until she was 11 years old to attend that school.

Little Shanna felt very disappointed. Since she was 2 years old and saw her brother for the first time, they had never been apart for more than a day. But now, with her brother going to Hogwarts, she would have to stay at school and only come home every few months. How could there be such absurd rules in the world? It was really annoying!

Shanna simply couldn't imagine how she would survive without seeing her brother for months. So she decided that when she grew up, she would expose those responsible for these unfair rules and defeat them one by one. "I can't be lenient with the bad guys, as my brother said!"

Although she was depressed, Shanna tried hard to hide her feelings and act as if everything was fine. She didn't want to worry her brother.

...

Time quickly advanced to the year 1991.

Bell had been in a bad mood lately. Not only did his favorite food, grilled skewers, no longer taste good to him, but even playing with his sister couldn't alleviate his bad mood.

The reason for his bad mood was that he would soon have to go to that damned school called Hogwarts. Bell was starting to hate that school passionately.

Really? It's the 20th century, and they make young wizards start school at the age of 11! Don't they realize that Muggles send their children to daycare at the age of 2 for elite education? Don't they know that Muggle children start diving into competition from the time they learn to walk? (What the hell is internal competition, anyway?)

Young wizards were already losing from the beginning, don't they know it?!

Moreover, we're all wizards; going out and traveling is a piece of cake. Apparition, Floo Powder, Portkey, multiple options to choose from, and at reasonable prices. If you're not satisfied, just take a flying car and take a tour around the entire UK. So why doesn't Hogwarts offer part-time education?

Bell had considered not attending Hogwarts. After all, the quality of education at that school had become worse every year. It was turning into a freshman camp. Besides, with the arrival of a certain little savior, all the other young wizards had become tools to help that school prince. Have you seen a detective series? Exactly, those guys lying on the ground! So maybe it would be better not to attend?

Additionally, after years of diligent study, Bell had acquired a much higher level of knowledge than wizards his age. And due to his incredible innate magical power, his magical proficiency already surpassed that of an average adult wizard. So, Bell saw no need to attend Hogwarts. Even if they were seventh-year students, he had no doubt he could outperform them. They were just a bunch of chickens who couldn't even cast a Shield Charm.

( ̄▽ ̄~)E~~

''Ahem, don't say weak, don't say weak...''

And if any problems arose in his studies, he could always hire a tutor, as he had done in the past. If all else failed, he could wait a couple of years and attend school with Shanna. After all, there is always more than one way to overcome obstacles, right?

However, Bell could only think about it silently. Even if he mentioned it, William and Elena would definitely disagree. No matter how much they spoiled him, they wouldn't allow him to stop going to school.

As for the matter of "I might die if I don't see Shanna," who in their right mind would take that seriously?

Despite his bad mood, Bell had been trying hard to hide it, acting as if everything was fine. He didn't want his sister to worry.

...

Despite his reluctance and the wish for time to stop a bit, magic didn't comply this time. So, September 1st arrived as scheduled, not a second sooner or later.

After getting up early in the morning and completing the basic training, the Minethil family sat together for breakfast as usual. However, the usual laughter was missing from the dining table, and there were more affectionate reminders from Elena.

"Bell, do you have all your clothes prepared? Textbooks? Study supplies? Snacks?"

"...Mom, don't worry, everything is ready. Also, Lym will come with me to Hogwarts and can prepare anything I need at any time," replied Bell dejectedly.

"Alright, the train departs at 11:00, what do you think if we use Floo Powder to arrive at 10:45?" Elena asked Bell.

She was also very sad about letting Bell go to Hogwarts, so she wanted to spend more time with her son in these last moments. What if he doesn't eat well or doesn't sleep well at Hogwarts? Thinking about that, she worried a lot and hadn't been able to sleep all night.

Elena shot a furious look at her husband, William, who had slept like a log the previous night and didn't care about Bell's situation at all. How insensitive!

William, feeling quite bewildered by his wife's gaze, scratched his head.

"No, Shanna can't use Floo Powder before the age of 11! Ideally, she shouldn't use it before learning Apparition," Bell said determinedly.

"But in wizarding families, don't little wizards start using Floo Powder at 7 or 8 years old?" Elena looked at her son with some confusion. You know, after learning Apparition, who needs Floo Powder? Using it so late would be quite lazy. (Going to places with Anti-Apparition spells, like the Ministry of Magic, it's more convenient to use Floo Powder...)

"What others do doesn't concern me. I don't want Shanna to use Floo Powder so early. It would spoil the experience, and she might easily get lost if she confuses the destination."

You're kidding. Bell doesn't care about others' kids. What if Shanna accidentally says the wrong destination and gets lost? You know, even adult witches make mistakes sometimes.

His sister is so fragile, so adorable, surely anyone would want to take her home to take care of her. How could Bell allow something like that to happen? Just thinking about it makes his skin crawl, and he feels like exploding something, right?

"Alright," Elena sighed, already accustomed to her son sometimes acting neurotic when it came to his sister. "Then, we'll leave early and drive to King's Cross Station in London."
