Although she looked pitiful, he has seen enough disguises.

Louise tried to make the woman leave his feat, but she didn't bug him. It continued for two whole minutes before Lucas had enough.

"Brother, let's just listen to what she has to say. Although she seems a little suspicious, she doesn't look evil." Said Lucas. 

Louise obeyed his brother. He wasn't a complete asshole to bully someone for no reason. Plus, Lucas was right—the woman didn't look evil. 

If only she hadn't accused them first, he would never have laid a hand on her and listened like a patient person. It's pity this woman didn't know manners.

The woman slowly left Louise's leg and rose up. She looked at Louise with embarrassment. Then she turned her head towards Lucas; there was visible gratitude in her eyes. "What is your name?" Asked Lucas.

A woman shifted her eyes to the ground and said, "My name is Raftaliya Bailey."

"I was a normal maid at the Noble Family Asher in a nearby city. One day, suddenly, the owner of the mansion, Riko Asher, called me into his room. I obviously went in his room because he was the son of the employer."

She visibly gulped before continuing.

"He tried to force himself on me. In panic, I pushed him aside. His head was hit by the wall. There was blood dripping from his head."

"I hurriedly grabbed my savings and went away from the mansion by pretending normal before anyone found out anything."

"It's not that I didn't want to report about the incident; it's just that the Asher family is too ruthless. There was no way I could live safely after that. 

"So I ran towards the capital; it would be hard for them to find me here, and their political power would not be that easy to use here."

"While running in the market, I saw you guys; you looked kind."

Louise was a little stunned. "Me...?" 

The woman, Raftaliya, looked at him with some disgust for a moment before saying, "I am not blind yet; I meant your brother."

Louise scoffed but didn't refute. It's true he was not the kindest person out there, but that doesn't mean he bullied weak people. 

"After coming to capital, I realized the things were too expensive. My money ran out faster than I thought. Right now, I am penniless."

"I was hungry last night, after I came here in search of food. I would have left after eating some food, but I was caught." She wanted to glare at Louise but didn't because she was afraid of him.

Lucas looked at the woman in some pity. "Brother, it seems you misunderstood her."

Louise turned her head away in disbelief. It was true that he was mistaken, but he didn't want to believe it. His sixth sense told him that this woman wasn't lying.

A woman suddenly grabbed Louise's hands and said, "Please let me work here. I used to work as a maid, but now I can cook and clean the house. I can also run arrandes, and it's easy to feed him. Please."

Hearing her words, he decided to give thought to this idea. It was not possible for Lucas to manage the shop alone. He first thought that they would only open the shop during the summer holidays. But this Omega Woman, Raftaliya's idea, wasn't bad.

The only thing concerning me was that this woman was a stranger. He didn't want to leave his brother with a stranger. 

But before he could think more about it, he heard Lucas say, "Brother, please. It will be lonely without you. And she looks mature; she can take care of me at home. Plus, I can deal with an Omega myself pretty easily."

Hearing his words, Louise's heart softened. Knowing that Lucas was helping him, Raftaliya also said, while nodding like a woodpecker, "Yes! Yes! I have good experience taking care of children. I used to take care of my younger siblings."

Hearing the word sibling. Louise finally gave in. "Fine, your salary will be 10 silver crescents." But you better not play tricks with my brother." There was obvious coldness in the room when Louise ended the sentence.

Raftaliya gulped and nodded honestly. Louise naturally didn't pay attention to her anymore and went to do dishes, while Raftaliya got familiar with Lucas.

Louise could hear some faint giggles in the kitchen. There was an obvious smile on his face.

'Maybe it's not that bad,' he thought.
