Guardian Gods of the Crimson Land

The Keeper was meant to deal with a few Black Fiends here and there. However, Ochieng' learned that the Keeper was not qualified to even know how the representative looked like, let alone where he was. Nevertheless, he knew where to start from.

After he left the Keeper's home, he headed towards the center of the Crimson land. The two men wore serious looks on their faces as they walked behind Ochieng' respectfully.

"You sure are audacious!"

Ochieng' had just covered a distance of about one kilometre when a deep ancient voice echoed from all corners of the dark world. The voice was deep and rough redolent of a roaring thunder. The three were forced to stop as the voice continued.

"This is my world, yet you lowly creature has been doing things your way, do you think I am door mat which you can step on as you want?" The volume of the voice crescendoed and anger was laced within it.

"Lord of darkness?" Ochieng' asked with a smile.

"That is not my name imbecile, if you know what is good for you, it is better you forget about it." The voice retorted angrily.

"Hehe, I don't really care about who you are, what I am interested in is your loss, Lord of darkness." Ochieng' smiled before saying coldly.

"I want to see how you are going to do that."

As soon as the voice stopped, seven men dressed in different robes appeared. They were all old men with white hair all over their faces. They were so thin that it looked like a little blow of air could just make them fall. The aura they exuded was hoary and unfathomable. It was clear from just a glance that they were really powerful.

"The seven Guardian Gods of the Crimson land!"

The High Priest's eyes widened in shock before he fell down dead. The giant was no exception, he also fell down before breathing his last. These were the people who lived with the Lord of darkness. Their power was only inferior to the Lord of darkness. They never appeared in the Crimson land but in dreams to the higher echelons of the dark world. They were commonly known as the Seven Guardian Gods of the Crimson land. It was believed that any mortal Black Fiends who saw them with their eyes would die instantly. That seemed to be the case with the priest and the giant.

The Lord of darkness had learned of Ochieng's ploy and he had known that no one in the crimson land no matter how powerful could destroy Ochieng'. Therefore, he decided to send his companions to the dark world to help him deal with the Ordainer, for he could never step on it.

The bewildered Ochieng' had summoned all the powers he had up his sleeves. He was ready for anything for he was sure dealing with gods of the dark world would never be anything simple.

"You have had enough share of our people's lives, it is high time you followed them, Ordainer." One of the seven men said nonchalantly.

After he said those words, Ochieng' harrumphed before taking out a staff. It was the one Nalianya had given him. "You can make your moves." He said coldly.

"How brave." The seven smiled before waving their right hands slightly.

Purple lights shrouded those hands menacingly as they released loud clapping sounds reminiscent of thunder. The men then moved beautifully as they surrounded Ochieng'. The surrounded Ochieng' felt the temperature of the environment drop to a level he had never known.

Being a powerful person himself, he managed to ward off the bone chilling coldness. Red flames shrouded him as his look turned red. He tried prying into the men's minds but he did not succeed. He realized that for the first time he was going to have a worthwhile battle.

The purple lights were sent towards Ochieng' simultaneously. They looked like serpents ready to take a bite as they flew towards Ochieng' at breathtaking speed. Even before they landed, Ochieng' felt heavy pressure weighing down on him and even breathing was becoming difficult.

Not daring to let those energies land on him, Ochieng' spun thrice. As he did so, he sent out the flames to meet the purple energies. When the two forms of energies collided, the seven old men were sent flying several meters away before the energies dissipated. Ochieng' who was at the center was not spared. He felt like was being squeezed before he fell down his entire body aching.

Not wanting to waste time, all the eight men stood up for another round. The young man did not give the seven men a chance to attack him simultaneously as before, he dashed towards one of them before hitting him on the chest with the staff. The old man only retreated a few steps back what surprised Ochieng'. Turning around, he hit another man at the back of his head. However, before he made another step, he saw a round object rolling in the air towards him quickly. He tried dodging it but was a second late, it hit him on his shoulder what sent him towards a nearby rock. This made a few bones of his shatter before he spurt large amounts of blood.

'If I let them live, my people will be wiped off the surface of Keniya. Even if I die, I have to drag them with me'. Ochieng' thought before rising, his eyes beaming with determination.

He sprinted towards the old men once more. This time, he was shrouded by several bizarre energies. When he was a meter closer to one of them, his entire body couldn't be seen.

The old man he first approached was reduced to a meat paste as blood spread in the air before camouflaging with the crimson ground. Turning to another man, he sent the staff on the old man's head with great force. The man's head burst into small pieces leaving a body with nothing on top of the neck. The headless body fell on the ground as the other five stood there petrified for a moment.

The old men were not called gods for nothing, they were quick to recover from their moment of stupor. Knowing the kind of the opponent they were dealing with, golden barriers covered their bodies before they moved towards Ochieng' at the same time. Ochieng' on the other hand realized that the barriers would take him some time before he destroyed them. Furthermore, these old men were releasing some powers that would leave him with serious injuries if he wasn't killed.

'This won't do. Alive, I can find several ways of killing them but when I die, they'll remain and that will mean bringing a disaster to my people indirectly. I can't die.' Ochieng' thought with a clenched teeth.

He then stood there and tilted his head up slightly before falling into a daze. When the powers were a few inches near him, he vanished from the spot.
