Around A Fire (1)

It had been some time since I last enjoyed the sound of crickets and owls. Though many would dismiss their songs and calls as annoying cacophonies, I would disagree. If one would just listen closely and feel the rhythm and music, then they would see that there was symphony.

A beautiful and lively melody.

All three of us were around a crackling fire, basking in its warmth. A stew pot boiled over the fire, nearly empty after serving a hearty meal of lentil soup.

Zeal laid on my lap with her blanket. The little one was the first to eat and the last to finish. She enjoyed every slurp and sip, chugging down a concerning amount of stew.

Sola was sat opposite of us across the fire with a thick fur coat over her shoulder. She had just finished her own bowl of soup. The golden paladin enjoyed it more than she would admit.
