After a very interesting weekend, that I am glad to let go of, I come back to work with thrilling interest. I walk in and find Diane already clocking in, and I smile at her as she gives a step aside to let me do the same.
“Good morning, Sie! How was your weekend?”
“Good morning to you as well, Di. I had a very interesting weekend, full of preparations.” I chuckle.
She has a glowing smile, and it is something I had always admired about her. Her gleeful personality, and joyful spirit.
It feels like any other day, Mei is heading already to the library, without the need for me to walk her there. I chuckle as she dances away and I shake my head.
A hand rests on my lower back and I spin around. Surprise is little compared to what I felt. Em was right there, his eyes worried. “I am glad you are feeling better. I hope is nothing serious.”
