The God of Machines

Centuries prior, the Gods blessed this world with their magical powers, granting their abilities to everyone born from their lineage. Luckily, everyone is descended from a deity, but unfortunately, their power wanes with each generation, until the modern day, where the young generations cannot hope to become powerful. Lua Moonsilver is one of these younger generations. He is a Tinkerer descended from the God of Machines, and is very weak compared to his ancestors. He was destined to live out his days making toys. By unknown circumstances, Lua encounters a gem in a forest, that gets him into contact with one of these ancient Gods. He learns about the secret of evolution, granting him the priceless knowledge to become stronger.

Jolin

Nearby, not too far from the village of the barbarians, there laid a vast plain. The snow was less severe, and vegetation was visible from amongst the frozen tundra. But what was interesting was not the vegetation, but the majestic creatures feeding on them. They resembled the horses common to the continent of Atherim, but were much different. They had dense fur that kept them safe from the cold, and they were clearly far more muscular. It was questionable how they maintained such a physique in this region sparse with vegetation.

It all boils right back down to Emberions… Lua sighed at this cheat-like energy source. Emberions were cheap to produce for the body compared to others, which meant those that utilised it could grow at a far more rapid pace compared to those that lacked the ability to produce it.

The creatures they were looking at were a pack of Jolin - the creatures that Vinon had mentioned.
