Chapter 4

~ NEXT DAY~ ROYAL COLLEGE

Francis walked into the private lounge they use at school only to see Pierce there playing a video game.

He didn't know why he kept thinking about that crazy girl and what she said to him and before he could stop himself, he found himself blurting out to Pierce.

"There's a girl claiming she likes you and she seems to be the adamant type" Francis said referring to Joanna.

"She wants me to give your number to her, should I?" Francis lied  when Pierce said nothing.

"Just tell her that am not interested" Pierce said.

"I did but she wouldn't listen" Francis injected.

"Then get rid of her…. You get rid of the girls who becomes a headache to you, help me with it" Pierce answered pausing the game to stare at Francis.

Getting rid of the girls as Pierce put it isn't killing but bullying is how Francis succeed in getting them off his back.

"Are you sure? Won't you even give her a chance to talk to you?" Francis asked.

"Chance is what I don't have and wasting it on a God damn person isn't what I will do, so just get rid of her" Pierce said to Francis who nodded in reply.

"Okay, I never liked her anyway" Francis said just as he got a text from his mom.

★COME HOME RIGHT NOW, I HAVE SOME THING TO SHOW YOU★

On reading the text, he bid good bye to Pierce before leaving the room.

"Hello Mirabel, am on the bus right now, I will call you when I get home" Joanna said as she end the call before making her way to the Terrific three lounge.

She got there on time only to see Francis leaving, just the guy she's looking for.

"Hello" she said trying to sound cheerful but he only scoff at her before walking past.

"Won't you really help me?" She asked as she followed him.

"I won't" he replied.

"That's unfair, you stole my first kiss and  that happened when Pierce is around and so it's only right that you help me" she said still following him like a lost puppy and when he stop she ended up colliding with his back.

"I didn't want to say this but I told Pierce about you and his reply was that I find a way to get rid of you" he said .

"Get rid of me?" 

"If you know me to love girls then you must also know what method I use in getting rid of them" he said.

"Am not scared of you" she declared fiercely.

"You should and if you've got enough sense, you will get lost for good and forget your childish feeling for Pierce, he isn't into girls like you and also don't ever show your face to me again"  Francis said harshly before leaving her there watching him leave.

~ FRANCIS FAMILY HOME~

As soon as Francis got out of his car, he saw his mom waiting for him outside.

"Francis"  his mother called as she went to meet him.

"What's wrong mom?"Francis asked on seeing the worried look on her face.

"It's your father, I told him not to but he has made his decision and you know how he is once he's made his decision" Genova answered.

"What decision did he make?" Francis asked.

"Your father met an old friend of his and he is hell bent on getting you engage to his daughter, I wouldn't be this worried if the girl turns out to be good enough for you but she isn't" Genova said making him sigh.

"Is that why you are worried, I will talk to him and….."

"Talking won't stop him, he's made up his mind. He seem to think you two are destined for each other and he intends to pay a visit to his friend tomorrow, have a look of her picture and tell me if am not wrong In thinking her as not good enough " Genova said showing him the picture and on seeing it Francis widen in shock.

"Is she really the girl that am to marry?" Francis asked and she nodded.

"Where are you going?" Genova ask Francis who rushed back to his car intent on going out again.

~ BUS STOP~ 

Joanna sat at the bus station waiting for the bus to show up and when a car suddenly park in front of her, she was surprise at seeing Francis as the passenger.

She was still seated when he walk the few distance that separate them.

"What are you doing…." 

"I will do it" Francis said interrupting her.

"You will do what?" The confused Joanna asked.

"I will help you win Pierce heart" he replied.

"You will what?" Joanna asked looking at him in awe.

"I won't repeat myself" he said.

" Am sorry it's just that I find it hard to believe, just some hours ago you said I shouldn't show my self to you and….."

"I know what I said and after thinking it through, I figured that you really love Pierce cause no girl will go as far for him as you do" Francis said making Joanna blush a little.

"Am glad you know that" she murmured.

"Yes have finally realize that you two will make a perfect couple and so am willing to help" Francis said again.

"Thanks Francis" she said excitedly while Francis smiled inwardly.

I help you be with the guy you want and in exchange I don't get to marry you, he thought sharing her excitement too.

"So meet me at our lounge tomorrow by three in the afternoon and don't be late"  Francis said before going back into his car

"I will surely be there" She yelled after him but he was already in the car driving off.

His phone began to ring and on seeing the caller, he picked.

"Where did you go to? I was worried" his mother ask

" I went to see someone " he replied.

"Who? "

"The girl dad wants me to marry" he replied.

"Don't tell me you know her?" His mother ask again.

"I do, she attends the same college as I but don't worry mom, I won't be getting married to her and just like you said earlier she's not good enough for me, so be rest assured that nothing will happen between us" Francis said assuring his mom with a smirk on his face.
