Chapter 37 : Danger
The hunt continued the next day, it was a walk in the pack by the two groups, they were able to locate beasts easily with the help of one of the pups. Due to one of its innate abilities, it was able to sniff the air and locate where other beasts could be found.
Bright with the help of the system created a bridge from his separate dimension into the environment, the process made higher energy to slightly leak into the environment but the others ignored it because they don't know what it is, the pup didn't show itself all it had to do is to just sniff the air.
Once they come across groups of beasts they choose themselves to take care of the beasts, one group will take care of a wave while others will take care of the other.
"Should we pay the eyes eaters a visit? " Samuel asked
"That is a great idea" a guy which goes by the name Mikel said with enthusiasm.
"Are you sure, they actually said they were plenty and overwhelming, i don't wanna get cut up in it" another guy voices out, fright evident in his word.
A foreign energy seeped into the environment, everyone could feel it and they all felt fear as if death was hovering over them. They all stared in a certain direction.
Bright was exuding a foreign energy from his existence making everyone take a step back.
"Let's go there, but i don't know the way there" Bright said.
"I remember the route, i can take us there" Timmy said.
"Then let's go pay them a visit, please lead the way" Bright voiced out.
They all anything at all, where as they are the one trying to make the kills easier.
"I think Ronald is right on this one, we need to head back now" Sylvia voiced out for the first time, she has always stayed silent and let things play on its own but now the fear of the known is taking over her.
"You heard her, let's leave " Ben and Jerry said at the same time urging the group to return to the base.
'Ding'
(New quest received : Save everyone from the outbreak of the eyes eaters)
"How am i meant to complete this quest, just tell me you want me dead, it's a simple word " Bright thought angrily.
"Idiot, how will i want you dead, i'll gain nothing from that, well you can choose to reject the quest, there is no punishment for it, but the reward is thrilling " the system responded.
"Okay what am i to do?" Bright inquired
(Find the reason behind the outbreak and solve the problem)
(Time limit 1hour)
"What 1 hour? " Bright couldn't help but shout aloud to making everyone turn to him.
"What do you mean by 1 hour?"
"Is there anything wrong? "
"What's the matter?" they all asked
"You all should head back to the base, i want to look into this" Bright said with a low voice.
"Is he serious at all ?"
"We were just told we should all head back "
"Lives are being wasted our there"
"Do you have a death wish?"
"I agree you're strong but you can't get to the root of this alone "
"We don't have to worry ourselves, help is coming"
They all voiced out.
"Hey guys relax, with ran across the red planet with Timmy leading the crew, they wandered around the planet and finally they found their target battling two rat like beasts, the two beasts were fighting desperately against the eyes eaters.
"Should we join them?" Mikel questioned
"It's obvious the rat beasts are going to lose " Jerry a guy from Andy's group said
"We can just wait, and let them battle till one takes out the other and we attack the winner, isn't that a great idea? " Ronald voiced out while also inquiring.
"No we attack now" Bright answered and next thing he was off.
"Who made him the leader here, for him to think he can order us around ?" Ronald asked annoyed by Brights way of answering him.
'swoosh' 'whoosh ' 💨
Everyone speed up after Bright not wanting to be left out and at the same time ignored Ronald's anger, before they could get to the battle ground, an energy discharge was felt by everyone and a figure could be seen jumping through the air, his fist balled up, he swung his fist at the center of the battle dust rose up from the impact and that was all, no blast no banging sound no collision, just beasts falling from the sky and dying. All the eye eaters died and the two rat beasts ran away.
"How did you do that, taking beasts out without using anything" Mikel was perplexed. Not that bright didn't use anything, what he used was an energy that normal eyes couldn't see, the energy that serves as a life force it is called ATP.

The previous day while he was meditating.....
"What are these energy i am seeing, the different colours and different powers they release in me?" Bright thought to himself.
"I thought you wouldn't ask, you know what the white and gold energy stands for, the purple fiercely burning energy is called the ATP, that's the energy that stands as the life force for living organisms, that milky coloured energy is your higher energy, that thing there with the round shape is an energy container which you can use to store other energy you might come across in future " the system explained.
"What about the blueish energy? " Bright inquired
"Hmm, when the time comes you will know what it means and what it does, but for now you can't use it until the seal is broken. " the system replied.
"So how do i make use of this different energies in one body? ".......

Bright was able to form the ATP into mini blades that targeted the core of all the eye eaters around leaving the rat beasts alone.
"You never seize to amaze me" James said while smiling.
"He is a sui generis" Noah said
"Everyone...." Samuel called their attention to him while staring at a certain direction. They all followed his line of sight and could see what he was staring at.
"Where are they all coming from? " that was the question in everyone's mind.
What they were all seeing was a wave of eye eaters coming at them.
"How many are they? "
"They seem endless"
"I told us not to come looking for them, now we have gotten into trouble "
"Let's take them out" a voice said to everyone and the person who said the word already ran off.
Wave after waves were been killed the eye eaters were coming in hundreds, the same scenario was repeating itself in other areas, it was an outbreak of eye eaters attacking every living thing on sight, casualties then began to mount, beasts and humans on the planet who couldn't protect themselves were being eaten and killed, even some of the younglings were also killed.
'Beep' 'beep'
"Announcement everyone try to look for a save place to hide or better still head back to the base, the adventure is over, we have received news about the outbreak of eye eaters killing people, if you can't make it to the base try to find a safe place to hide, we are sending reinforcement to come and handle the case. For the strong one's among you try to stick together and protect each other, it's an order, so for now fair, try not to die" . A voice sounded from all the students watch, telling them to find a safe place to hide themselves or better still head back to the base for protection.
"Did you hear that, let's head back to the base before another wave appears" Ronald voiced out while sweat was dripping from his face, not only him though, majority of them to be precised, looking at Bright, Rina and Andy it looks as if they have not being doing my estimation help should be here withing 3 hours from now, so all we have to do is survive till then, but we don't have that much of a time left, we will all be long gone by then, all i can do is look for the cause of the outbreak and find a solution to it" Bright replied calmly.
"This is crazy" Timmy voiced out
"I'm with you on this" Samuel said

"At least we the brothers knows that once he decides to do something he never go back on his word, we can't win against him, and i'm not letting him go alone no matter what" Samuel stated.
"That's what i actually wanted to say, i was going to go with you the moment you voiced that out" James said making their eyes turn at him.
"I have no choice here then, my brothers are actually crazy " Noah said while smiling.
"I won't be left out, not now not ever " Timmy added
"That's all said and done, i'm coming with you" Rina surprisingly said
"Hmm, same here " Andy said her beautiful smile not leaving her face.
"haha...i wasn't thinking i'll end up with crazy fellows like you guys, count me in" Mikel said
Ben, Jerry and Sylvia all agreed to go with them, them all eyes turned to a certain person.
"I'm not as crazy as you all, i'll have an head start while heading back, you can have fun, trust me i will do the favour of telling them how stupid you all are, farewell " Ronald said before speeding off into the distance with all his might.
"Well we decided to join you on this, hope you have a plan?" Sylvia asked.
"Nope i have none, i'm leaving this to my instinct " Bright replied
"Now this is really crazy" Jerry said while sighing
"Let's move before the next wave comes" Bright said and began to walk forward. They all followed him not knowing where he is heading to.
"How am i going to locate this beasts now, can my memory help? " Bright thought
"Need help? The blades voiced out
"You have been silent lately, what's up ?" Bright asked
"I had to stay silent since i wasn't needed" the blade replied
"What do you think i can do here?" Bright asked
"When next you come across one, try to influence it, it should be able to lead you to the rest" the blade said
"Influence it, how? " Bright questioned confusely
"It's simple just growl at it and release the aura of the rarebrid, that will tame it because it will recognize that you're a superior being, it has no choice but to obey you, but if it has someone that is more powerful than you as its superior then your influence skill won't work" this time the system answered
"Can the skill be used on humans and other creatures? " Bright asked
"Yes it can, but you must be stronger than that person for it to be successful without problems or if your sea of consciousness is stronger than that person's own no matter the strength of the person the skill will work" the system responded.
"He has not been saying anything since, i'm nervous" Sylvia muttered.
"Do you need me to stand by you ?" Samuel asked
"Nah, not needed, just stay on your own " she replied
"Really, i thought all beautiful ladies wants a cute guy like me to stand by them or am i wrong ? " Samuel asked confused.
"Is he really doing what i think he's doing?" Timmy questioned James and Noah.
"We should place the blame on a certain influencer" James smiled while staring at the figure in front who was lost in thought.
"I wonder what he's thinking " Mikel joined the conversation.
"I just hope it's not something more crazier" Andy said while her smile haven't left her face.
"I will protect you and be your hero, you don't need to be scared " Samuel and Sylvia were still on their heated words, Samuel trying to play the role of Romeo while Sylvia isn't given in to his words.
"you who couldn't protect yourself from an ordinary eyes eater, how do you want to protect me, don't tell me you're planning to leave yourself vulnerable and protect me, if you do then you're the dumbest person ever, because i won't even mind your death at all" Sylvia said
"What, i'll be happy to die for you, and moreover i'm strong enough to protect the two of us, haven't you seen my fighting skills, i'm practically the best in my field" Samuel voiced out proudly, immediately Sylvia stopped to face him.
"You are strong and skillful for someone who is in the level 150s in school rank, try to pass me in the rank and i'll be lenient enough to have few words with you, you're strong but not strong enough, i can do well without you" she started moving And followed the others, she went to the front and walked side by side with Bright and the two group leaders.
"Did he just get heartbroken?" Jerry asked
"I wasn't expecting Sylvia to be that blunt in her words, she have been silent ever since we were grouped" Ben voiced out
"Hey bro, take heart, all you can do is try to prove to her that you're strong enough to not only stand by her side but also protect her. " Noah said
"Not all woman need a man to stand by their side they need someone who will be ready to jump into hell because of them and also himself, not someone who will just throw away his life due to his weakness, we are not in the ancient time that peace is more frequent, don't think too much about her words," James said
Samuel just continued to walk silently, and stealing glances at the curvy lady with good back side that word stabbed him earlier. "If that's what she wants, then i'll surely become strong enough to protect you and myself " he muttered.
"Get ready to speed off" Bright voice out from ahead.
'whoosh ' 💨
Everyone speed up, and got to a place that looks like an alleyway but it went downward, weird noises keeps coming out of the place.
"We have to be careful here, they are a thousand of them here, and i can see them feasting on something i mean some students. What!!!? Some are still alive we need to rescue them" Bright voiced out with a tone of urgenc, he was able to get the number of eyes eaters there with mystic eyes.
"Relax Bright, we can't just jump into there, it will just be suicide, we need to come up with a plan " Rina tried to calm him down.
"We don't have much time left, the students are giving up already, they are 6 in total the other 6 are dead, even the rare gens there aren't able to do much" Bright replied
"We still need to be..... " Andy was speaking before Bright jumped in.
Everyone rushed to the entrance but couldn't see anything due to the darkness surrounding the area.
