The Fodder Queen: A Vampire’s Muse

[!!!Mature Content!!!] *Triggers listed below* Adeline Weston is a peasant. A lucky one, however, if you wish to call her that. Her secret lover is one of the highest nobility; the prince of Ravenvale, Oliver Ambrose. Though, they’re forbidden to be together. Nonetheless, she loves him with everything in her and he loves her just the same, even promising her that he would make her his queen when he takes over the kingdom. But it’s mostly wish-washy. Nobility and poverty do not mix according to the laws; laws that result in a punishment as severe as banishment or execution if broken. Adeline and Oliver were on a very fine line. A peasant isn't supposed to be with nobility because they have nothing to offer. Or so his parents unfortunately pounded into the minds of their Kingdom. But Adeline and Oliver try and think otherwise. They only want to believe that they're going to be a loving family and live happily ever after eventually. After all, they’ve been friends for 11 years so why couldn’t they make something work? Perhaps it’s the fact that, not only was he cursed, but his entire family as well; A curse that made them crave human blood? Or is it the other man she is to be wed to instead, in a nearly arranged marriage by the ones she loves? Join Adeline as she attempts to fight for her happiness, though beware; She only has until she’s 22 years old to find it, otherwise she will be banished. Though the location citizens are banished to is a lot closer than anticipated…. +++++++++++++ -Smut content will be more soft-core. Chapters will have (R18) -Triggers: Pregnancy loss, violence, blood, so on.... -1st Person POV: Default is Adeline's -Slow Burn Romance (first 30ish chapters are fast, but after will be steady) -My own little fantasy version of a mainly medieval/Victorian mashup setting -Not a reverse harem in any way, but there are a couple love interests. —-—-— Thank you to all that take the time to read my stories. The Blue Wedding

The golden dual bells of the chapel chimed, echoing throughout the city. The organ on the other hand, was more melodic in announcing our joining of souls as I waited behind a pair of doors; the only thing separating me from my new life.

When the bells stopped, and the doors opened, it would be my cue to walk.

Edith had given me a bouquet of white roses mixed with blue daisies and periwinkles. It was gorgeous, and the smell was amazing. I held them a bit closer to my nose so I could have the constant flow of their beautiful aroma entering my nostrils. It was also the only thing keeping me from fainting I was so nervous.

Adeline Tucker, I repeated in my head a few times; not a terrible flow I suppose.

Then the bells stopped, the organ player started another melody, and I was revealed to the people inside.

My mother and father were seated in the very front pew with Edith and her parents, though no family member of Gregory's was there; but it didn't seem to bother him.

Friends of both sides happily attended, as well as citizens that had no clue to who we were; they were there simply for the prince. Including ladies wishing to wed him; women that were more than eligible to be his bride.

So, needless to say the chapel was full of lively people.

The inside of the chapel appeared to be vaulted to nearly 3 stories, though plenty of boards littered the ceiling as well to keep it steady. A couple candle light chandeliers hung from the ceiling, but the main light came in from the beautiful painted glass windows that paralleled the bride's walkway, ending when the path did as well.

The windows told a story, but I couldn't decipher it without falling, so I kept my eyes forward.

Gregory turned to face me, a smirk on his face like he was silently mocking Oliver that he 'won.' I rolled my eyes.

Oliver on the other hand was facing me as well; except for his actual eyes of course. His eyes were averted; those bright irises of his were giving it away without a slight hint of secrecy.

I was trying so hard to forget the feelings I had, and still have for Oliver, but we were friends for so long that becoming lovers was natural for us.

Gregory and I had only forced love, basically arranged. I really did want to give myself to him completely; no reason to hold on for someone I can't ever hold again, but whenever I came close to letting the prince go, Oliver always appeared once more.

But after today, would it be the same? Would there be a reason for me to have to see him anymore?

Before I knew it, I was at the end, turning to face Gregory, though making a brief slip of eye contact with Oliver.

"You look absolutely stunning, Adeline," Gregory muttered to me, his smile more genuine now that we were face to face. I felt my cheeks get warm, but as fast as he made the romantic comment, he ruined the mood. "I can't wait to rip that off you," he winked.

Oliver cleared his throat, with the attendees of the chapel getting quiet before Oliver spoke; officially beginning our vows to one another.

"We are gathered here today, to join in celebration of the matrimony of Gregory Tucker and Adeline Weston," he shifted, uncomfortably. "I have known Gregory for quite some time," he began his speech, turning to face him, creating almost a menacing stare off between the two. "He is a strong, brave man, always willing to help those in need, and I trust he will take good care of this young woman, his beautiful bride, as he has taken care of the kingdom through his service."

Gregory grinned, nodding at him in agreement. Then Oliver turned to me, pausing for a second too long, clearing his throat once more before beginning, "Ms. Adeline, you are quite the beautiful bride, and you seem to be one of the kindest souls I have ever met. I have no doubt in my mind that you will be a wonderful friend, and wife to me- MR. Gregory, and mother to his children when the time comes. Your husband is a lucky man," he winked, giving a chuckle as he awkwardly tried to make it less intense; though happily noticing Gregory's uneasiness. It was obvious he wanted to say so much more, but then it would be like he was reading vows to me.

I couldn't help myself; I began to cry softly.

Then I remembered, or lack thereof, the vows I was supposed to write for Gregory, but luckily Oliver announced my husband would go first.

Gregory pulled out a piece of paper to read from, "Adeline, I love you. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on, and I promise to cherish you for all your life." Oliver paused for a moment after Gregory finished to be sure he was done, and when we realized he somehow was, the tables turned to me.

I took a deep breath, looking at the patrons in the pews as best as I could without moving my head, then at Gregory, and finally Oliver.

Pretend.

Oliver, "Gregory, my one true love, I love you, and shall love you for as long as the memory of you exists. Forever. I will cherish you for as long as I live, and care for you through any battle, guide you to peace when you're at your worst, and hold your hand throughout the rest of our lives as we take on the world together. There is nothing in this world that I want more, than a future with you. To have children, to grow old, and to see our future grandchildren, our great grandchildren, and maybe if we're lucky, great-great. So, if I may be so lucky, will you accept me as your bride?"
