The Aftermath

As I soared through the cityscape, suspended between towering structures, I clutched Killer Frost tightly in my embrace as we hurtled towards Savitar's hidden sanctuary. The world around us dissolved into a hazy blur, each passing moment intensifying the searing pain in my ribs.

"Just...a...bit...more." I managed to gasp. My suit clung to my body, drenched in sweat, while each breath grew more arduous. My eyelids fluttered, my consciousness fading slowly, slipping away like sand through my fingers.

As we touched down at the entrance of Savitar's lair, a suffocating darkness consumed me, and I succumbed to unconsciousness.

3RD PERSON'S POV

"Good work mate." Julian praised Cisco, giving him an encouraging pat on the back before heading back to his office to reverse engineer Caitlin's blood as Cisco nodded appreciatively.

Turning his attention to Barry, who was nursing an ice pack on his head, Cisco asked with genuine concern, "Hey, Barry, are you alright? I mean, 'Ghostface' really handed it to you back there."

"No, it's fine. Not the first time. Besides my speed healing will take care of it in no time." Barry brushed it off. "So, did you find anything about the man in the red mask?"

"Yeah, here it is," Cisco said, typing away on the tablet in his hands. He quickly pulled up various photos on the screen, revealing criminals lying dead on the ground with blood surrounding their bodies, limbs, and heads in some cases. Iris instinctively covered her mouth, a mix of shock and empathy crossing her face. Cisco still winced, even though this was his second time seeing the gruesome images.

Barry's eyes widened in disbelief as he surveyed the gruesome scene. "Wait, all those crime scenes... I recognise them. There's been an absurd number of murders dating back three months ago, all of which left the same bullet carriages and blade patterns."

"Could it be him? Did he really... kill all of them?" Iris asked, her voice filled with uncertainty.

Cisco nodded gravely, his voice tinged with fear. "Yup, and that's not all. Most of his victims had serious rap sheets, ranging from small-time thieves to murderers."

Iris furrowed her brow, trying to make sense of it all. "Wait, if he's killing criminals, does that mean he's some kind of vigilante? But then why would he be working for Savitar, targeting someone like Tracy who definitely isn't a criminal?"

Cisco shook his head, uncertainty evident in his voice. "I don't know, Iris. It doesn't add up. Maybe Savitar has something on him, like what happened to Caitlin."

Barry chimed in, his optimism shining through. "We'll figure it out, guys. But for now, let's go home. We've done all we can today." He wrapped an arm around Iris, preparing to head home, leaving Cisco to continue his work.

MC'S POV

"Ugh..." I groaned, my muscles stiff and protesting against movement as I awoke from my slumber, gradually coming back to life.

"Oh, look who decided to join the land of the living. Did you need a personal invitation?" Looking around the dimly lit room, I saw Killer Frost sitting beside me, her piercing blue eyes locked onto mine as she lowered the magazine she was reading. "You must be the master of slow awakenings. It's a talent, really."

Sitting up, I couldn't help but tease her.

"Aw...Were you actually worried about me?" I smirked, revelling in the tension between us.

She scoffed, a glimmer of annoyance crossing her face.

"Worried? Please, don't mistake my actions for kindness. I'm only doing this because a corpse is too much hassle to dispose of. Don't go thinking we're friends now." Her voice dripped with icy disdain.

Accustomed to her coldness by now, I said, "Thanks, though," motioning to my bandaged torso.

"Don't get used to it, you're lucky. I woke up a few minutes after you passed out or else your injuries would have been a lot more serious. The bandage will hold your broken ribs in place. You should be fine by next week." She replied, her tone laced with a biting coldness.

"How's the big guy? Was he fuming?" I asked, hoping our deal was still on.

Killer Frost's expression softened slightly, a hint of surprise in her voice.

"Surprisingly, not this time. He said to leave her alone for now."

Sighing that everything is fine, I lay back down to get some more rest only to be hit by another surprising news.

"Speaking of him, he's a total blank state now." Killer Frost said.

As I sat up, my eyes widened in disbelief. "What are you talking about?"

"Team Flash probably did something to Barry that caused him to lose his memories. No Barry means..." Killer Frost explained.

"No Savitar." I finished. "And no Rebekah..." I murmured, a hint of irritation bubbling within me.

Killer Frost's lips curled into a frosty smirk. "Looks like you have a functioning brain after all."

Glaring at her, I said, "I'm coming with you." I quickly started putting on my suit, determined to get Savitar's memories back so that he can uphold the end of our deal.

Killer Frost's icy gaze locked onto me for a few seconds, her eyebrows arching in mild surprise but she didn't say a word.

As I finished suiting up, we got ready to fix Team Flash's mess.
