"That's right. Everyone thought Lemar was your father. I thought so too. But, the animals smell a familiar odor from you. The same scent as the person we used to know very well. That's why I asked what did your mom give your name. When you say the name, Katalina, I realized your birth father is... that person."
Katie swallowed hard at that. "Who... Who is my father?"
"His name is Ranmond. He is my brother."
Katie was even more surprised at this. This person .. this man is the younger brother of her father?!
"Then you are my uncle?"
The person chuckled. "You could say that. We are not blood-related at all. Decades ago, Egon and his wife adopted two children before they finally had their own. The first was Ranmond, and then I was adopted from an orphanage two years later. Seven years later, Dimitri was born into this world. Unfortunately... his birth killed our mother."
