Path to the Third Realm (II)
The Demon King observed their reactions, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. "Your talent and potential are already enough to allow you to reach the Third Realm," he stated confidently. "But following the normal path would take hundreds, thousands, or maybe even tens of thousands of years."
The first part of his statement filled Cain and Meylin with hopeful smiles. However, the second part was like a bucket of cold water, bringing them back to reality. Cain and Meylin had taken a very short amount of time to reach their current level—less than thirty-five years—but they did not delude themselves into thinking that the path ahead would be linear. After all, there had not been an instance of a Void Eclipse life form reaching the Third Realm in the Helix Continent in the last five hundred thousand years, making it clear how hard the path forward was.
