Cain took a few seconds to regulate his breathing as he gazed at the Ancient Dragons gathered before him. A hint of a smile played on his lips as he addressed them.
"There's bad news and worse news. Which one do you want to hear first?"
Eldrick and the other Ancient Dragons couldn't help but chuckle at the scarlet dragon's jest, the lighthearted comment easing the tension. Even though they were warriors capable of facing death head-on, it didn't mean they were immune to nervousness or anxiety, especially when dealing with unknown dangers.
Once they had regained their focus and calm, Cain's smile faded, and he continued in a more serious tone. "The same force that affected the monsters in the Great Garden has also made its way to the Devil Hand. It has mutated the Stone Golems. As you can see, they're now bloodthirsty and maniacal, attacking anything in their path."
