CHAPTER TEN.

FIONA'S P.O.V

It's been two whole days since I heard the boys talking in their office, two whole days of me wondering who these Rouges are, two days of me finding out nothing. I let out a deep sigh as I stand up from my bed, I've been laying on it for 2 hours now and I still haven't figured out what to do. I know that Mikhail has found out something from that Alpha Daniel he mentioned, whatever it was, it wasn't good news at all. They've been trying to get me to remember things for two days now, I know it has to do with what he found out, it has to do with my people. I don't know what to tell them now. I didn't lose any memories and the only clue I had led to a dead end. I need to find out more about these Rouges whoever they are, I'm sure they have something to do with the disappearance of my people, I'm sure of it. The guys know things but I can't ask them without revealing things that should stay hidden. I've noticed that the guys have been really busy for the past two days, ever since that night when Mikhail spoke to Alpha Daniel he's been acting strange. He's not the only one though. Jace and Mark have been acting weird too, I keep seeing a lot more people in the house and they all keep giving me that look of respect. Something is going on but they're keeping it away from me and I'm afraid that if I don't figure it out soon then lives will be at stake. Oh who am I kidding? I know that they've probably killed a lot of the kidnapped people if not all of them, I don't wish to admit it but it's the truth. If I don't find them soon then more people are going to die and the guilt will be mine. I can't fail my people now, they're counting on me. I decide to go downstairs and have lunch and when I got to the kitchen and saw Mary there. We exchanged pleasantries and she served me my lunch. That's another thing that I've noticed, the boys haven't eaten with me for these past two days. They give excuses that they're busy with paperwork but I know it's a lie. After I finished eating I decided to visit the boys upstairs, they've stayed couped up in Mikhail's office for two days now and I need to know what they're doing.

I walked up the stairs till I reached the familiar door that led to Mikhail's office. I knocked on the door "it's Fiona can I come in?" I ask them. I heard shuffling of feet before the door was swung open to reveal a tired looking Jace. "Hey Fiona, what brings you up here?" He asked totally blocking off the door with his large body. I didn't bother to answer him before shoving him out of the way and entering the office. I'm met with files and maps of some sorts all over the table, Mikhail sitting on his chair and Mark sitting down on one of the chairs. Jace immediately enters after me, Mikhail looks up and smiles at me "hey Fiona, is everything alright?" He asks. Although I feel my heart beat spike when he smiled at me I resist the urge to smile back and instead give him a blank stare. His smile drops immediately he sees the look I'm giving him. Mark looks at me confused and finally asks "Fiona is something wrong?" I don't answer him either but move over to the windows where I proceed to open up the blinds, an action which earns groans from all the guys as Mike covers his eyes. "Why Fiona? do you wanna blind us or something?" Mark asks after removing his hand from his face. Instead of replying I sit down on the chair facing all the boys and proceed to stare at each of them. "Okay you're freaking me out, are you okay?" Jace asks taking a seat beside Mark who's staring at me as if I've gone mad. I sigh before speaking "why have you guys stayed couped up in this room for the past 2 days? What's the matter?" "Oh we're just going through some paperwork for our business that's all" Jace says trying to convince me. I look him straight in the eyes which makes him squirm but I ignore it before speaking again "don't lie to me Jace" jace looks surprised and opens his mouth to talk, probably to lie again but Mark cut him off this time. "Hey we're not lying we're just talking care of some paperwork" he said looking everywhere but my face. I give a short humourless laugh "do you guys really think I'm that stupid? Am I a joke to you?" I ask getting annoyed. "We didn't do anything we're just working" Jace says again trying to cover up for what they're doing.

I rolled my eyes, didn't they learn to give up? "No you're not, you guys have been acting strange since me and Mikhail got back from that building" "It has nothing to do with the building Fiona, you're over thinking all this" Mark says trying to laugh it off. "Is it me? Did I do something wrong? If you can't accommodate me any longer then just tell me and I'll leave" I say as tears start falling from my eyes. "Really the guilt card?" Alice asks with a smirk. "Yep I'll do anything to get information from them" I told her as I focused on the boys in front of me. Mark looks surprised that I'm crying, Jace looks guilty and Mikhail looks like he's about to cry also. I almost laugh out loud because of their facial expressions but I manage to contain it and instead I cover my face with my hands and start bawling. "Fiona please don't cry, it's not what you think-" Mikhail starts but I cut him off. "No I understand, you don't feel safe housing me, I don't blame you. I could be a criminal or something and you're just protecting your people." "Fiona you're wrong-" This time it's Jace who attempts to speak but I cut him off. "No, no, no. I get it and I think it will be best if I just leave, goodbye." I say knowing full well that they won't let me leave. Right as I stand up to leave Mikhail pulls me back, I look up at him and sniffle, I have to thank the fact that I'm a messy crier. I'm sure that my eyes are all puffy and my nose is really red, perfect for my fake breakdown. "He reaches up and wipes the tears on my face and I just let him, I feel Sparks once his hand connects with my face but I ignore it. "Fiona we would never do that to you, we know that you're going through a lot right now with being kidnapped and your amnesia. We offered to help you and that's what we plan on doing, we would never send you away so don't ever think like that." I immediately feel a great pang of guilt for playing them especially when I saw the raw emotions on Mikhail's face. I knew that he meant all what he said, he would be there to help me figure out what happened, i'm such a horrible person. I smile at him and nod at all what he said "okay I'll stay, thank you" I say in a small voice. I hear Jace and Mark let out a breath of relieve and Jace talks "you don't have to thank us Fiona, we're your friends and that's what friends do." Friends, they thought of me as a friend, at that moment I knew that I could trust them, they were my friends and I wouldn't ruin this. Mikhail was about to say something before he stopped and I swear his eyes glazed over and so did the guys. After a few seconds they all looked at me and one thing was obvious, they were angry. "Fiona you need to go to your room right now, stay there until we come get you" Mikhail said calmly. I was about to talk when I suddenly heard screaming and growling? I looked at the guys with wide eyes but none of them seemed surprised at all. Something was going on outside and it wasn't something good.
