CHAPTER ELEVEN.

(MIKHAIL'S P.O.V)

During my entire drive back to the pack house I was deep in thought. Why are Rouges kidnapping humans? What are they planning? Whatever it is I know it can't be good.

I'm just glad that Fiona is here with me and not in the hands of those Rouges. Goddess knows what they would have done to her.

After getting to the pack house Mark and Jace came to meet us and Jace asked if we found anything in the building.

I heard Fiona tell him no and the sadness was clear in her voice. She must be feeling so horrible right now, I don't blame her though, having amnesia isn't something to be happy about.

She must miss her family a lot, her friends and her life even if she doesn't remember much but It's just a matter of time before she remembers everything. She already remembered her parents and the building she was held, I'm sure sooner or later she'll get all her memories back.

I mind linked Jace and Mark not to ask any more questions about it and that we'd discuss everything in my office. Fiona told us that she wanted to rest and Jace offered to take her to her room but she declined, I'm sure she wants to be alone right now.

After entering my office along with Jace and Mark I sat down to discuss things. "So what happened? Did you really not find out anything?" Mark asked.

I sighed before answering "yes we didn't find anyone but I found out something else" I told them.

"What did you find?" This time it was Jace who asked.

"Rouges were in that building" I announced with Anger.

"What? Dude are you sure?" Mark asked.

"Yes the building was being run by Rouges, their scent was everywhere" I told them.

"Does that mean that they're the ones who have been taking people? Why would they do that? Jace asked confused. The truth was that even I don't know what the Rouges are up to.

"Yeah Rouges would have just killed people immediately, what was the need to take them hostage? It makes no sense" Mark said.

I also knew that it made no sense but Rouges are very strange, there could be a picture that we were not getting. "I don't know but if it's really them, it means they also took Fiona" I admitted.

My wolf was still pissed off at the fact that they even took our mate, he wants to tear anyone who touched her to pieces. "Probably! but why did they take her and not kill her and how did she escape without any scratches whatsoever?" Jace asked

Although my wolf was annoyed at the word 'kill' I have to admit it, it's strange that she got away but maybe they didn't have chance to hurt her before she escaped.

"Those filthy Rouges are up to something, they're kidnapping people for a reason and we need to find out why" Mark said taking the words right out of my mouth.

"Yeah and I know exactly who to get information from, Alpha Daniel" I told them.

"Are you sure? I mean he's not very trustworthy and he's not really our Ally" Jace said.

Alpha Daniel is the Alpha of the Night shade pack, a strong pack but not as strong or large as my pack, not even close. The man tends to have a lot of info on smaller packs since he likes joining packs together.

He's bound to know something about the Rouges. The problem is that he never does anyone a favor, he has to get something in return.

"I know but he always has information and that's exactly what we need right now" I just have to do whatever he wants in return.

"Yeah the Rouges are planning something and we need to find out what it is and how Fiona is involved in all this" Mark said agreeing with me.

"Yeah and we need to make sure Fiona is comfortable here, sooner or later she'll get back her memories and then she'll be able to shed more light on this issue" I tell them signalling that the meeting is over.

I stayed in my office the rest of the day doing paperwork. Being an Alpha can be boring sometimes, I really wanna spend time with my mate but I can't.

I have to finish the paperwork so I can start working on this Rouge situation, I have to make sure she's safe before I can spend time with her.

If I start spending time with her now I won't be able to do anything else and I can't risk that now, something is wrong somewhere and I have to figure it out.

My wolf Caleb was mad at me for not letting him see his mate but even he agreed that we have to take care of this problem before we can spend time with her.

2 DAYS LATER.

For the past 2 days Jace, Mark and I have been working on this Rouge issue. I called Alpha Daniel yesterday and he was reluctant to tell me anything at first.

It wasn't until I agreed to an alliance with his pack before he told me anything. The news he told me wasn't what I expected to hear and I didn't like it one bit.

A specific group of Rouges had been attacking small packs, they would kill a lot of pack members then leave. They didn't take anything from the packs they attacked, they would just kill a lot of members and leave.

Although Rouges are aimless fools they don't act that way, they killed the Alpha of 8 packs and just left. Rouges always attack packs for a reason, mostly to steal their supplies but this group of Rouges didn't steal anything.

The confusing part about these attacks is that the pack members claim that the Rouges were different, they were apparently more powerful than normal Rouges.

At first I believed that the packs were just really weak and that's why they thought so until I heard that the Rouges also destroyed the Black Moon pack.

The black moon pack is a very strong pack. They should have been able to handle a bunch of Rouges. The fact that they went down so fast is damn suspicious.

After the meeting we had two days ago Mark had talked to the guards and made sure to double the patrols. Jace who made sure the training was okay had instructed Mason the head warrior to double up training and train twice as harder than before.

We never know when we might be attacked and we need to be prepared for anything. We've been in my office since morning going over the maps that show all our land, we're thinking about changing patrol routes.

After some hours of discussing we heard a knock on the door, I already knew that it was Fiona from her scent. My wolf was already excited that she came to visit us, maybe she has remembered something else cause she hasn't remembered anything since the building.

I was surprised when she pushed Jace aside and even more surprised about the things she said. Mark and Jace tried to convince her that nothing was wrong but she didn't buy their excuses.

It wasn't until she started crying that I realized we had really hurt her with what we did, my wolf was whimpering and wanted to comfort his mate.

She tried to leave but I grabbed her hand and pulled her back. I would never let her go, I just found her. I explained to her that we would help her and I felt bad for lying to her but she's human and I haven't explained everything to her, I didn't want her to get scared.

I didn't have time to dwell on my guilt because we all got mind linked by one of the guards. We were being attacked by Rouges.

Those Rouges really have the nerve, how dare they attack us? They will pay for this but first I need to get Fiona away from here.

"Fiona go to your room and stay there until we come get you" I told her calmly even though I was anything but calm. She looked confused and was ready to say something when we heard screaming and growling from outside.

Fiona's eyes widened and she looked at us but I'm sure we all had the same blank look on our faces. "What was that?" She asked with surprise clearly written on her face.

"We don't have time to explain right now, just go with Jace he'll take you to your room, stay there until we come get you and don't open the door for anyone except us" I told her in a strict voice. Jace grabbed her arm and took her out of the office to her room.
